I can only recommend these "Musical Box" shows. . .i was blown away last night. Watching the VISUAL "Lamb" was a great pleasure - what an amazing album.
I saw the real show with Peter G twice in Germany. Unfortunately its extremely difficult to convert the whole thing into a video. Thus, also this version does never show the feelin of a live show. It need to be done as a motion picture. Otherwise it will be always boring - compared to the real show. Nevertheless, I find that Dennis (Peter G) is really great and he increased even in the last six years. Thanx a lot !!
Taking my 13 year old to see them in The Hague...very excited ( this album came out when I was 14 :-) love love love Gensis ( before Peter Gabriel left, of course)
I was told they were GREAT! and yes they are, can't wait for them to come back to Texas- Perhaps San Antonio Texas, would love to see them with a real cool friend who told me about The Musical Box!!
the best cover band i the world dad and i saw the band 3 time selling angland by the pound twice and the lamp lies down on broadway last month in quebec . and my dad saw the real band 4 time selling twice the lamp and nurcery crime and he told me that 99.9% of the show look like the real band . even there shoe , haire cut . light set up . they even got the original band keyboard. , back ground image . this band is the best cover band in the world . hope next year the will play nurcery crime
Saw them Nov. 6, 2011, State Theater, In Cleveland. Brought my two teen sons, needless to say, they were captivated. Phenominal show. And what a bonus for the encore, Watcher of the sky. My two sons favorite with the bat wings and all, That made their night and mine. Highly recomend any album/concert they recreate, please go see them. It's the closest we will ever get to see a true Genesis show.
Don't get me wrong. There is no mistaking "The Musical Box" are utterly fantastic, and this is the original presentation, as it was in 1975! But if you really want to hear Gabriel's "dead-on double" check out the American version, "The Waiting Room." They don't have the finesse, nor Genesis' nor Gabriel's blessings like "TMB" do, but their lead singer has Peter's voice down to an amazing "T"! IT is real!!!!
Their rendition of "The Waiting Room" in Cleveland was the BOMB! Awesome show, awesome vocals, awesome everything. Thank you extraordinary musicians for choosing to play this music for the world to hear! Please come back to Cleveland soon !!!
@leirbagpeter They blew me away! I held my head in my hands throughout the entire show thinking, "I can't believe I'm seeing and hearing this! I can't believe I'm seeing and hearing this!" They were here in San Francisco on Sept. 17th, 2011, for two shows.
My 16 year old son and I saw "The Lamb" last night in Milwaukee. I was absolutely knocked out. My face hurt from smiling. At times I forgot that we were not actually seeing a Genesis performance. An essential show for the hardcore Genesis fan. These cats are spot on!!!!!!!!!
@thefeepy I'm ging to see them next Saturday at the Tribeca PAC in Manhattan. I can't wait, never got to see this show back in the day. I've seen MB do Foxtrot And Selling England several times and each time was better than the last. Based on this clip it should be a fantastic show!
Cool, a very decent likeness. But I don't really understand what would drive a musician to exactly reproduce somebody else's work. No interest in trying their own hand at doing original masterpieces?
@Wormboy2003 nothing wrong with doing something people want. Genesis was going to do the Lamb again in 2004 but the plan fell through so these people are giving their audience a peak at what they missed in the 70s tour.
@SRNF Understood, but I think you're talking economics, not art. I respect the effort of these guys: they are very good musicians (must be to reproduce Genesis). But for me, I'd try to make my own art, not reproduce somebody else's. So no disrespect, just sort of bafflement.
@Wormboy2003 yes and some people are more entertainers than musicians. Just turn on the radio and you'll see what I mean. You know what I'm saying:? BTW Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel saw these guys live
saw them do Selling England tour, and Trick of the Tail tour..both were better than I remember the original performances in the 70's (although I was not 'high' this time) This band is beyond belief.. Merci Musical Box!

December 1, 1974, Lyric Theater in Baltimore, MD. Genesis performed The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and, to this day, have never experienced a more ambitious work of art performed live. I was stunned by their musicianship and the energy coming from the band was unequal. The Lamb was indeed ground breaking rock music and to hear The Musical Box recreate this visual and aural opera is stunning. Takes me back to that incredible night oh so many years ago.
I can't believe they are finally coming to AZ ! Been waiting for this for a long time, and it looks like Genesis is done once again. This is the next best thing, and I will proudly be in the front row !!!! Come on, October !
@rwc202 That is exactly what I needed to hear! :D I desperately wanted to see their last tour of this, but I never got the chance to see it. :( Are they coming to the UK with this tour?
this is amazing the singer sounds absolutely identical to peter gabriel most tribute bands are let down vocally but this band if you squint are the real thing
I have seen this band. Phenomenal recreation of the concert that I saw live in 1975. These are the original background slides, even some of the original instruments, now obsolete collectors items. By all means, see these guys!
I'm 13 and i'm gonna see these guys play tonight with my dad. I wish my generation lissend to this music.

This is great. And, that drummer is nailing it - matching the stuff Phil arranged and played almost 100%.
