Global Warming is extremely misleading. Yes, the Earth is warming up. But it's nothing to be scared off. Their have been around 5 periods in the last 3000 years when the Earth's temperature have been higher than it has been now. I assure everyone, We are not going to experience a Natural Crisis because of Global Warming. Most of the CO2 comes from Sea life organisms, Not us. In fact, The increase in CO2 has caused more plant life to grow in the oceans and the Rainforests.

@eofregene Still, all that smog and pollution is something we should be fighting reguardless of it causing global warming or not. It still causes acid rain and respitory problems. So even if global warming didn't exist, we should still be more conservative and try to produce as little CO2 emissions possible and be more energy efficient.

You can sometimes see the brownish smog in the air even if you can't see it from the ground. It's like a piece of glass, you can't really see it when you look straight through it, but if you look from the side you'll notice it. It's there and you can't deny it.

@eofregene Still, all that smog and pollution is something we should be fighting reguardless of it causing global warming or not. It still causes acid rain and respitory problems. So even if global warming didn't exist, we should still be more conservative and try to produce as little CO2 emissions possible and be more energy efficient.

@eofregene Just because the sunlight isn't blocked out doesn't mean there isn't smog. Have you ever flown in a plane before? You can sometimes see the brownish smog in the air even if you can't see it from the ground. It's like a piece of glass, you can't really see it when you look straight through it, but if you look from the side you'll notice it. It's there and you can't deny it.

Max Ice: 14.6 million sq. km's
Min Ice: 5.5 million sq. km's
2009

As far as the thickness, thats taken by a satellite, but when they went to take site tests it was too cold to do it, and the equipment coundn't get through the ice. Site observations note the ice is 100% thicker then predicted.

That will cause a 50% DECREASE of ocean carbonate ions (CO3).
Carbonate ions are needed for growth by plankton & corals at the base of the ocean's food chain.

Fact: Whatever caused the Holocene Climatic Optimum, the Roman Warm Period, the Mediaeval Warm Period and our rise from the Little Ice Age is still occurring without anthropogenic CO2.
The Jurassic had some 10-20x today's CO2 where life thrived, corals evolved without a tipping point, acid oceans or runaway greenhouse.
Global CO2 is only about 0.03% of the atmosphere, and man's contribution is just 3% of THAT. That's a not even a grain of sugar in the middle of the dinner table. AGW NOT!!

CO2 was some 20 times higher in the Triassic and Jurassic where life thrived and delicate aragonite corals evolved, WITHOUT a tipping point or runaway greenhouse. Many ice ages also had very high CO2.
Global manmade CO2 is about 30Bn tons. To reduce temp by 1C and using the IPCC's intentionally bloated figures, that would mean not emitting 1Tn tons of CO2, which means no cars, trains, industry or campfires for 30 YEARS!! Back to the stone age.
Mitigation is impossible and irresponsible.
