I will comment here since the other site censors free comments. China is a superpower because it decided to shift massively toward capitalism beginning decades ago. There is a heavy emphasis in education and ofcourse sheer numbers. They have undergone the most massive poverty eradication program the world has ever seen. China should not be given too much credit though. It is an authoritarian state. And Chinas holding of debt is irrelevant to controlling the U.S. It will never be paid back.

Why should an auto worker who gets up every morning for 30 years to go to work get 50k a year they ask? 11dollars an hour is a living wage they say. Most of what they call the middle class are the working poor. The solution would be high tarriffs against other countries that dont pay their workers as much.
