  • what gil scott heron song is this from ?

  • @M3gaViiruZ Comment No. 1

  • @M3gaViiruZ Comment No.1 i think

  • Is this guy the same guy from Kanye's Never let me down ?

  • @suaezf19 No. This is the late Gil Scott-Heron. J-Ivy is the poet on "Never Let Me Down" which is the greatest Jay-Z/Kanye West collab ever imo.

  • @MrSquadRunner Thanks for educating me :)

  • illuminatti is just a smoking too much weed synthom.... i smoke weed but i dont go that far.. lol

  • Scary Scary Shit- "Go to china if they will have you", knowingly American capitalism will collapse (and considering this poem was done long back before 2008 by Gill Scott)

  • P.S. nobody is saying that Goldman Sachs, et al. doesn't share some of the blame. But who drives the machinations of growth and supposed progress inside these companies? Look up the following families: McDonald, Reynolds, Dupont, Rockefeller, Rothschild... now ask yourself the following questions: Who do you think created the Fed? It was members of these families (and others) working closely together and behind the scenes. Age of Aquarius ring a bell to anyone?

  • if illuminati doesn't exist then what's up with all the 666 symbolism seen on television and t.v. today? What about the Georgia Guide stones, or the fact that, under law passed shortly after WWII, the United Nations law supersedes any United States law, whether its backed by the Constitution or not. If "they" aren't real, then some messed up frat kids are going through a lot of trouble stirring up stuff for the giggles. Really? What about Steve Jackson's Illuminati card game? Anybody...?

  • they are feeding us whatever it takes to make us blind, deaf and dumb, including the conspiracy of satanism.

The truth is if you truly want change you MUST change yourself first. Dont eat that crap, dont listen to mind-numbing pop, dont buy their products and dont take part in their ritual pillaging of the earth.

Get healthy, be the best that you can be, be kind to your fellow creatures no matter what they throw at you. Its working for me, just taking it a day at a time.

  • @nala2425 They do it as a joke, or to get extra attention.

Think, if they use this symbolism and get broadcasted on the news for being Illuminati, they are getting free advertisement.

You gotta smarten up if you wanna survive this century.

  • @nala2425 If Illuminati is so secret why are a millions details of it leaked? What purpose would that have? Why doesn't the paparatzzi find Celebrities coming from "illuminati" meetings? The paparatzzi is controlled by them? So every single human being with a camera and information is controlled? How? Will they be killed? So there are thousands of murder cover ups? Please -_-

  • Crap !

  • Check out my beats!

  • now this is hip hop i dont know why people are hateing on it because hip hop has a meaning and it talls you a story unlike all that other love shit. peace

  • This song is being more and more relevant every single day and if the SOPA act passes through the senate we will be one step closer towards 1984.

  • You pulled this out of "Lost in the world" but the album also has a track without that music in the background

  • I'm going to try to declaim this at my school. Wish me luck!

  • Its funny how the people who claim Illuminati exists, also claim how helpless we are at fighting them.

Instead of focusing their attention upon actual social issues and fix them (ex: the fact that the real "Illuminatis" of our society are the Goldman Sachs, arms dealers, oil conglomerates, etc ) they divert their energy upon made up entities with mystical powers. Funny enough, such supposedly powerful divine institution has an obsession to promulgate itself through Kanye & GaGa. #That Shit Cray.

  • @Arad737 i don't understand what your saying. yes , they are negative people saying we can't beat them, but we can. the iluminati are the rockefeler family , rothschild family who funded the united nation imf bank and the federal reserve. their are other families that are part of it. the only to fix the society is to identify them and put to prison. if not we are gonna have a "global solution"(world government) which is really the problem.

  • @Arad737 someone stole yo comment

  • @itZjstPotna Sorry, who? lol

  • @Arad737 some thumbs wanting freak

  • @Arad737 you hit the nail on the head brother. once they start going on about the Illuminati I usually just stop listening real talk lol

  • This man is un-American and a Communist. Guilty.

  • Can someone tell me who said this? or some rapper for the album said this? Pls tell. Cheers!

  • Very epic song. RIP

  • Creepily relevant during these times in America.

  • Without a doubt the best track on that album R.I.P. brother

  • OCCUPY TOGETHER - The World Is Watching.

  • WTF... why didn't I heard about Gil Scott Herons death.... not one thing I heard!!

  • one of the best parts of the album

  • shit i never seen any comments on Gil Scott Heron on this page untill he died...now thers all kinds of acknowledgment to this being him!!! never herd until your gone!!!

  • bubblingbubblingbubblingbubblingbubbling

  • This is an old Gil Scott Heron poem from his original album

    125th and Lenox

  • thanks B.O. ...

  • thats powerful poetry

  • the only truth in America is money...

  • @vd9999 People get mad when rappers talk about money....Does that mean people hate the truth?

  • who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America? who will survive in America?

  • too much ambitions, has lead America to its destruction, why can't it just be like Australia, less wars, just happy people living to survive, a state with Sovereignty , fairness, not trying to enslave its citiznes!!!1

  • @tintsap I am certain the aboriginals slaughtered and oppresses and marginalized might disagree.

  • @bigblackafrika sorry please, i couldn't understand the context of your english? wt do yu mean, it doesn't matter about it's past. the future america is run by vultures, they want 2 crash every country to its knees so that their sovereignty is crushed

  • @tintsp which australia do you live in? we live in a complete nanny state. we have no freedom. ask the aboriginals who were slaughtered less than 200 years ago how fair this country is. we send several hundred refugees off shore for processing yet we allow 90 000 expat americans and united kingdomers live here illegally a year.. why? cos they are white I guess. how many kids are put in prison for smoking weed? it costs 100k a year to imprision someone in australia. thats our tax dollars. we suck

  • @chapstickfantasy At least Australia is not, all about a single stock exchange run by criminals

  • Now vagina and sweaty balls was just uncalled for.

  • love kanye for including this on his album to make yall think deeper about EVERYTHING.

  • Hip Hop isn't dead.. niggas just forgot how to listen

  • @KanYeezYx Some never learned how to listen

  • @KanYeezYx this isnt hip hop.. stupid nigga

  • @NYYstateofmind you're right it's art

  • @KanYeezYx Niggas just forgot how to preach....

  • @SpokenTruthful But this is hip hop

  • @KanYeezYx or maybe you're just dumbed down young fuck

  • Also, I guess what I'm trying to say is that Kanye was very selective about which parts of the poem he chose to sample. Probably didn't want to isolate his white audience and miss out on that whole market. I like Kanye though, I just want to point all of this out.

  • K, how many people have heard this poem in its entirety? I like Heron; I like what he did for music, civil rights movement, poetry and so forth, but he was also a bit of a racist- and with good reason considering the context of his situation. In this piece he criticizes young white college students for taking up the Black rights movement and links them to their oppressive white ancestors. Kind of a dismissive tone, but still so cool to listen to, haha. Yeah Heron was cool and this is a good song

  • @cartoonalmoon I'm just saying that I wonder how many people who heard it sampled here realize what the original poem "Comment # 1" actually says, which would also be good for all the white people who sort of buy into civil rights and all that as some kind of commodified fashion statement, might help them re-examine their intentions maybe...

  • @NYGothamCity like i said end of stiry

  • the revolution will NOT be televised.. kanye know wussup, but "if you say anything, you lose everything." he knew THAT TOO, so let Gil tell us! who will survive in america?

  • Piqued: to cause resentment

Nat turner: led a slave rebellion in the southern states

Paul revere: mostly known for the "midnight ride" and also helped make the intelligence system for keeping watch on the British.

He didn't say THEY were bad guys,he says that the children viewed the wrong people as "good guys" before they woke up.

  • To whomever said Pac, Biggie, Cobain and Hendrix did great things for this country seem to have a reversed close mindedness on the whole topic in which this song presents. How can one support true peace and free will with what Pac and Biggie did. They were products of a system and they did alot for breaking through the barriers surrounding capitalist society but to call any of them great seems to betray the very symbolism they stood for. They were twisted souls forged from American ideals.

  • The tepid applause at the end really sums up today's ignorance to the power of voice.

  • kanye sampled a lot of his work into his music

  • @trezantrez and?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrMike93100 It was a sample, he could've used it if Gil was dead or alive.

  • Rest In Peace Gil Scott Heron

  • Rest in peace

    Gilbert "Gil" Scott-Heron

  • Heron's poetic style reminds so much of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl"...pretty fucking awesome

    RIP Gil Scott Heron

  • RIP, Heron.

  • R.I.P Gil!

  • Gil Scott Heron. America needs you! It's not fare that Reagan was somehow able to live to his 90s while you leave earth at 62. If you got heaven say hi Hendrix, Cobain, Lennon, Tupac, Biggie, Janis Joplin, and the Good Guns n' Roses for me. If you land in hell becase you decided to be cool, can you please kick Reagan's, Hitler's, Christopher Columbus's and Hernan Cortes's asses for me? You rule!

  • @MexicanoINC pac biggie cobain and hendriz are definitly not in heaven dude hahaha

  • @awboiz The did more good things for America than any Republican has. And I am extremely disappointed with the number of typos I left in that previous comment. I slap myself.

  • RIP GIL SCOtt HERON!

  • i luv this song, almost tells a story of what we were to what weve become and kanye is speakin the truth bout our live, that we should fix um and i luv rap cuz its "political" but not offencive?IDK? but great song! luv the drums

  • i luv this song, almost tells a story of what we were to what weve become and kanye is speakin the truth bout our live, that we should fix um and i luv rap cuz its "political" but not offencive?IDK? but great song! luv the drums

  • all i want is a wife and some children and some food to feed them every night

thats we all wan preach Gil Scott

  • i will not congratulate kanye for this because he really didnt do much on this....but i will Gil Scott Heron the original father of hip-hop who started the movement, look him up n realize how much of his music has been sampled from this man. Still appreciate it kanye ur still great.

  • "And America is now blood && tear instead of milk & honey..."

Couldn't have sed it better .

  • truth

  • we must enslave ourselves. we are not america and have never been america. we are the after birth of england. no one can survive in america because we have all been killed my america. dont turn to barack obama as your new messiah. we me enslave ourselves.

  • Food For Thought, this was like giving a full course meal to a starving peasant called mainstream Hip Hop.

  • @DJRedMEDIA the whole album was i think kanye really pulled of a beastly album.

  • preceded the bubbling bubbling bubbling Bubbling bubbling in the mother country’s crotch" The “mother countries” (England, France, other colonizing powers) were whores, having children all over the world

  • @ShroudSniper "Mother Country's" in this context in refers to great britain which was the mother country of america before the revolution. but what your saying is definitely relavent.

  • "America was a bastard the illegitimate daughter of the mother country" White men from Europe came to North America and stole the Native American’s land. That is why Gil calls us the illegitimate daughter of the mother country. "Whose legs were then spread around the world and a rapist known as freedom, free doom" America killed many Native Americans, dropped a bomb in Japan, etc. — in the name of “Freedom” (hence the “freedom”/“free doom” pun)"

  • WHO WILL SURVIVE IN AMERICA?!

    WHO WILL SURVIVE IN AMERICA?!

    WHO WILL SURVIVE IN AMERICA?!

    WHO WILL SURVIVE IN AMERICA?!

  • this sounds like "Lost In The World"

  • @coltfan15 i think it samples that cause in lost in the world it says 'who will surive in ameica' naer the end

  • @coltfan15 this is actually the song that comes right after loft in the world. this is basicly the end credits to the album. kanye just used the same beat but it sounds like the poem and that beat were made for eachother.

  • is this really kanye west?

  • @TagRation no

  • love the album cover. black man fucking the shit out of that white hoe

  • @getfresh305 more like a hairy ape fucking an angel

  • exactly!!!!

  • Too bad kanye is a puppet now. hopefully hes trying to break free and realizes his mistake. keep ya head up

  • boring

  • is this meant to be a song?

  • @thebabemaster99 In what way is it not?

  • knowledge is fucking power people, remember that!

  • dam illuminati mockin us, look at his pics he makes good music but there planing something against us, the middle east falling and music is all connected, they know the ultimate plan and all the stupid people dont see or hear it

  • @THEREALITSME Agreed!

  • @DesLaSole The original poem is "Comment #1." It's great. But you'll find older poems, arguably going back to medieval England, which connect to the themes Gil-Scott Heron wrote about in "Comment."

  • @shivasinai thank you. I really appreciate it.

  • the mother countries like africa china are considered the motherlands because of the fact that it's is where culture orginally formed and cultures has been spreaded around especially african american in the crowd intended this for is african american "the youngster who were programmed to continue fucking up woke up " statistics

  • whats the original poem?

  • Bubbling bubbling bubbling

  • @calvinmillerproducts

  • ISLAM Will Survive....

  • I'm pretty sure he mean offering "Freedom" - "Free Doom"- as in catastrophe, chaos, disaster brought upon the African people.

  • The lyrics are shockingly awesome

  • Most Powerfull Part Starts At 1:12

  • deep stuff

  • gil scott herion turned words into something no one else has been able to do

  • gil scott herion-the revolution will not be televised

  • Knew about Gil Scott heron way before this epic track

  • If you want to know what he's talking about look up Obama deception.

  • No disrespect to Gil-Scott Heron, its a great speech, but 'Ye shoulda left this out and closed the album with the track "Eyes Closed". Look it up, it woulda been perfect but it didnt make the album.

  • @kolaidman67 doesnt fit the theme tbh. this song embodies what kanye started with power, which was really the beginning of the album, that and run this town.

  • One of the most powerful speeches of this decade.

  • @wyrwich actually this was made in 1970... Gill Scottt Heron

  • The bubbling bubbling bubbling in the mother country's crotch

  • It's one thing putting this on your album, but that's not enough Kanye! Actually do something about it! Do you understand what Heron is trying to say? Sadly, I doubt it.

  • @rudygr23

What are YOU doing about it?

  • @Messenger33 Tuche my friend, I can't say I'm doing much more than Kanye.

  • kaanyeeeee

  • is this why he hates white people?? lol

  • freedom- free-doom danm i have never thought of it like that,,thats deep

  • @playboibunny33 I'm pretty sure he said "Freedom - Free-Dome" meaning if you're truly free your mind will be free. Unlike how it is right now, people are physically free but it's the brainwashing that makes most of us slaves.

  • @EazySPM Va60ch is right, its free doom, like the word "freedom" has given everyone a feeling of false security and if the gov't says anything is impeding our "freedom" the american people will do anything it takes for "freedom." chop off their own arms, legs, or go fight a war. sound familiar?

  • @unseenmagic Yeah, that's true. It's not the first time that a single word had more than 2 meaning in a song though. So it could be both, free doom and free dome.

  • Everytime I hear this I think of Dave Chappelle's skit of : Kunta Kinte ..

  • soooo what does kanye west have to do with this again? oh wait. he's making money. talk about rape. kanye west just raped Gil Scott Heron and everything he stood for by making a mockery of it.

  • gil scott heron is a literary genius

  • @poppahyman surprised. that doesn't even sound like gil scott heron, he usually has a much deeper voice.

  • now dis shit shud hav a billion fuckin views on it

  • who will survive in america! who will survive in america! who will survive in america!

i think his talking about slavery and the slaves were raped away from there country so brought into hell
