Lived in the north part of Croydon for the majority of my life and hence I am well versed in street parlance and can use when appropriate but I'm also able to converse in a normal educated fashion.
Croydon is one of the few places in england with such a mix of different cultures. I am very proud of the fact croydon has such diversity and 90% of times people work together. It's such a shame that some people think they have a point 2 prove. Some of the comment are very sad that people can such little tolerance i hope it's not passed on 2 the next gereration.

Pretty much lived in Croydon all my life (50 years) and have to say that over the last 20 years the place has gone down hill terribly (crappy phone card shops cropping up every hundred yards cheapening the place). Having said that it's not just towns like Croydon thats suffering it's the whole country. I was dragged up in Croydon. It is the armpit of England. Thankfully i left as soon as i could and don't want to go back ever. Biggest shithole on the planet. I'd rather live anywhere else.

Ive lived in Croydon all my life (21 years) and am extremely proud to say im from Croydon, fuck knows how but im pashionate about where I come from and will always defend it even though it is in tatters. 177 pubs & clubs, 3 shopping centres and Crystal Palace F.C....What more do you want out of life people? oh and before people start saying its fulls of chavs and wiggers etc...ive managed to stear clear of that stereotype so obviously not everyone turns out to be a complete mug

i'm from croydon, right in the thick of west croydon near london road, 15 mins (walking) away from north end shopping area, it is a shit place to live, so dull and boring, i want to get out of here every day.
where's a better place to live other than croydon? give me some suggestions; it can be outside london, but not up north and not too down south.

haha i live in croydon, and its not that bad. yeah its full of scene kids, wannabes and such like, but it has got some good points. plus, liek someone else said, iof your smart, your fine, ive lived here all my life and never been in any trouble, not much to complain about in that sense. however, it does get annoying how anytim something closes down, the next year its been built into a new block of flats. but overall, Croydons ok =]

lived in Croydon my whole lyf (26 yrs) and not had a problem - its a shame that its full of immegrants and plastic gangsters,also pitty that there is the UK HOME OFFICE.Croydon has just got a bad rep that it seems not able to get rid of. FM cru LOVES YOU!

thank u very much. its got loads to do. its full of excellently masssive parks, loads of leisure centres, one of the biggest shopping centres in europe and an off set urban nightlife. croydon rules!! and then yet it sux so dam much.
