@flinstone11 they sound insane, too insane, i have one myself and the gain is fuzzy, but for some reason that's only because i have passive pickups, on an active system it sounds so amazing
@flinstone11 I agree. I have the VT30. It's loud as shit, and I have endless fun with it. When I take the time to tweak the dials, and effects, I'm always amazed by the sounds I can get. I seem to like the cleaner sounds with a little dirt. The AC30 is my fav, but Boutique OD is great fun too (crank up and play garage stuff like The Stooges).
i got this amp lined to a zakk wylde custom les paul and a df7 distortion factory and vox wah.The sounds are mind boggling, the extra distortion really takes this amp to a new level and the leads through the MM setting on the df7 are very close to something slash would have...without the marshall..good amp, versatile for price
I have a vox ad100vt and I have some problems with distortion ad hammer ons you can't hear..( I play a fender guitar ) could any tell me what the problem is oh yeaa I also use a line uber metal pedal
hammerons is a guitar problem only, fret fading it's called or something like that. and maybe the uber metal pedal blew out your speaker, because it allready has ALOT of gain in the amp itself, boosting that signal probably isn't a smart move unless you balance out the 2. my friend has a marshall distortion pedal which provided amazing distortion when i balanced them out at about 40% gain from the amp itself and about 30/40 from the pedal, the vox is good for high dist, so give it more low
I have the AD100VT...It is an awesome amp!!! It sounds great! It's heavy as fuck! It's fucking awesome! From Heavy metal to clean red hot chili peppers sounding stuff. It is awesome.
I have one of these, the 100vt half stack and an american strat with emg SA pickups and its amazing. anyone who hates this amp hasn't played one, or is just gay
many of the worlds greatest players : all american rejects, nickleback, simpleplan....something has gone horribly HORRIBLY wrong if these are the worlds best players
I love these Vox amps. Very true tube like tone. The effects are great too. The Auto-Wah is one of the best I have heard, most of them sound really cheap. I'm gonna get me a DA5 and then combine it with an extra cab if I need to.
I've always liked the tone from the VOX's they seem to really bring the sounds of the guitar out. They don't seem to suffer from treble blare or fuzzy bottom or mosquito nasties, when on high gain, just a thick band of adjustable tube overdrive and rich harmonic overtones. The tube distortion is well suited with the dynamic range of the pickups and volume knob on the guitar and how hard you play, wind back on the guitar vol and it cleans up well without fading out.
ya that should be fine, if you get the footswitch with the amp then you should be able to run a pretty solid and easily switched dirty channel without a distortion pedal, but whatever that's your call. just keep it simple and reasonable in regards to gain amounts (always a good tip with any amp actually)
from what i saw in the vid you can plug a cab into the 50 watt, but don't take my word for it.
you could line out to a friends larger amp if you had to, if they have a power amp input on their amp it'd sound just like it was coming out of your amp.
as long as you don't pump all your effects on at once into the thing it should react fine, modelers aren't the best for effects but the tube in these helps.
Are you gonna be micing your amp? if not then it all depends on the acoustics of the room (and the rest of your band), these are pretty loud amps. if you're mic'ed then it'd be perfect.
i'd probably be safe and go for the 100, if it's not loud enough then you can always plug in a 4x12 cab on top of it. head down to GC and chk it out
this thing looks awesome but how many channels are there? lt looks to me like something that is great for home or the studio but if you can't foot control between at least 2 channels (preferably 3) there is no use for me
Just worked it out ... anyone whose wondering if you want to change the function of the CH2 button hold down either bypass or manual and hit the 2 button on the footswitch
The same...but i m buying the 30 watt version ;P anyway, there's a sort of debate between the roland cube and the vox valvx...i tried both of them, but noticed that roland has a lack of sound brightness...sound quite "closed"..
i wanna buy one but i cant sell my marshall 100dfx and its liek 180 euro thats bout half price and i still cnat sell it haha bet ifi had one of these itd be robbed haha
what's the song that starts at 4.55 ?

well, through a vintage 60's Strat and a 70's triple pickup black beauty Les Paul, nearly any amp would sound great.

I think they mean some of the biggest, and the sad thing about todays music is that nickleback is considered the biggest rock band right now
it is horribly wrong, I agree

i have the ad30vt none of the models are not that good i think you need a few thousand pounds worth of guitar before it sounds like that!
deanosabbathfan 2 years ago
Maybe not as expensive as you said, but that is true, you need a solid instrument to get this amp's best. Especially good "single" pickups I think.

so if you have this amp and think the distortion is crappy, buy a monster cable, theyre the best
