as a woman I happen to be 5'8 with long legs and a slendor figure, I was a bathing suit model before I got born again...I have been hit on in a parka,ok! I have had to come to terms with not blaming myself for being looked at...I no longer show cleavage or my mid riff, I no longer show my behind in jeans I cover them with a blazer and I am still looked at every where I go? so now who's fault is it...blaming woman for having lust issues is really lame in my books!!!!!

From a man who lived in sin for many years... Immodest dress only leads to tempting a man to sin. That sin is only for a season, as what lead a man to find the woman attractive (the immodest dress) is only for a moment. Once I learned that by hanging out w/ other Christian men... I have been blessed with a modest Godly woman... And she fills my heart and soul with a 1,000 times more affection and desire than any immodest woman did. I actually got to know her for her and not her wrapping.

Thank you for showing a guy's percpective of modesty and how a girl is truly respected more by the man when she is covered up. The willingness to be modest is a condition of the heart. Christian girls should be showing the world how to dress and not the world showing our girls how to dress. We are daughters of the most high God. Be fashionable, stylish, and keep your individuality but cover up the treasures that the Lord only allowed your future husbands to see.

This is an amazing encouragement to all the girls like me in the church that dress modestly and it shows that boys see and care about what we wear. So make sure you wear clothing that is comfortable on you and makes you feel good about yourself.

I PERSONALLY feel more beautiful when I cover up my body, because when I get guy attention dressed modestly, i KNOW its not bc of my curves. I wouldn’t want a guy to approach me bc I made their hormones do it. I want them to approach me bc they want to know ME. not whats under my clothes.

I loved this. It takes a very strong woman to remain modest in today's society. Any man who can recognize that - chirstian or not - would reply in the way these young men did. They don't HAVE to say they prefer women to stay modest, they just realize that it honestly is hottest. This was a fun video :)

The fact that you chose them because of their loyalty kinda proves Starfaerys and others points. They will only give the right answers no matter what especially if it is a female interviewing them. I am sure though that this video was inspirational for members of your church.

Great video! It's not only Mormon guys who appreciate modesty. I've done a similar interview with evangelical guys and they are saying the same things. I showcase 9 of the guys with their pictures in my book, Fashioned by Faith. As far as NON-Christian guys-sure, they may like to see skin--but who cares what they think. Good girls want Good guys and vice versa! :)

I agree with this... and to those who said " well these are Christian guys, they HAVE to say that... " i truly believe that most guys find that this is what they want in the woman they choose for life. Guys want the girl with it all hanging out for an hour or a day, but for a lifetime, they want the modest woman who will keep herself for their eyes only! @starfaery Maybe, but we carefully chose these guys because of their integrity and loyalty to their church. I believe each of these men to be honest and truly mean what they say. It is meant to be an inspirational video to the young women who know them and look up to them. We posted it on YouTube because Facebook was having uploading problems! In what context are these men "examples?" I am sure they are examples in their immediate area (aka church) but what qualifies them to be examples for others (provided they are)?

Anyone religious person can say their lifestyle, way of dress, or ideologies set an example to others even though it boils down to what is socially acceptable in a given culture or geographic location.

@d3v3r3 I agree with what Mitagitsu said, we're not saying it helps because we have self-control issues, but rather it helps by not giving us that need to use self-control in the first place. We see immodestly dressed girls everyday, say what you will, but it's nice to see girls modestly dressed even for just this reason (although it is only one among many others).

@mallyisgold I think it's not really so much about what you wear, but it's about the reason why you wear it, and the attitude you have when wearing it. if you are showing off your boobs and stuff, and your purpouse is to get guys to gawk and your boobs and think you're hot, guys can tell what your intentions are, and some guys don't find it attractive. But if you can wear certain outfits in a classier way, guys won't care as much because they'll see personality too, not just boobs

No one makes anyone follow these rules. If you ask any girl in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, you'll find that most will say they like to dress modest. And dressing modest doesn't mean baggy jeans and t-shirts. We wear skinny jeans, skirts and dresses. So please don't start putting stereotypes on us. Go see for yourself what it is to be "Mormon"

A woman shouldn't have to find her self-worth or beauty in how she dresses or looks. The very fact that said hypothetical woman only feels beautiful when she's showing off her body shows that she has low self-esteem. Your beauty and self-worth should come from God; our creator who loves us more than we could ever imagine. Why should we care about whether someone as messed up as we are thinks we're hot or not? For one not all guys will think impurely when they see a women. Some guys preffer women to be modest and we're not trying to offend other women by sayin their bad for the way they dress.
