Hey man, question.... I went to a shop to get a cherrybomb glasspack for my 94 Ranger, but they said the pipes are a different size compared to the cherrybomb inlet/outlet.. Did you have any problem installing the glasspack to the truck? or Did it fit perfectly? or did you have to mod your exhaust tubes?
@Alex3718 I'm not too sure. This truck has been gone since labour day weekend last year for one, and for the exhaust I bought it like that off my buddy down the street, couldn't have been too much then again my car I have now had a 2.5" headers-back exhaust splitting into duals after the rear wheels, but that was a $600 setup plus $200 for the dual mufflers. So it can get pricey, but for just a Glasspack and tailpipe installed it can't be too bad the Glasspack itself is like $45.
please dont flam me for this. i have a 99 ford ranger xlt step side. i took the muffler off and replaced with a glass pack. sounded decent. i got bored and unbolted the exhaust and ran it just off the cats. its way louder and has a beefy sound to it. if yall want ill post a vid of it.
i want to do this to my 4.0 ranger...have a straight pipe run into 2 exit pipes one on each side kind of like you have -- wheres the best place to get the parts and how would you recommend doing it
it's a Cherry Bomb Glasspack Muffler with mandrel bent piping plus the tip for the tailpipe section. My buddy (who I bought the truck off of) got it done at a local garage that does custom exhaust. For the record it's a single exhaust on mine and its just a 2.3L Inline-4. Looking at a 3.9L Dakota though gonna do the same exhaust but a Magnaflow cat as well.
Haha yeah man it sounds awesome eh? I just found a short clip of my first burnout with it.. kinda sucked cause of the seized wheel cylinder and the brakes were tight from sitting for a couple weeks.
I have the same set up on my 94 4.0 it sounds alright with a glass pack from auto zone for 20$ it sounds allright. Needs a little bit of mod thow.
