Amazing. It reminds me of our African ancestors to an extent I can't even put into words. I may not LIVE in Africa, but I claim my heritage fully. THEY LIVE IN US!
glad they got to use this beautiful piece in the second film...yeah it would have been nice of Mufasa had gotten to sing it, but the non-mufasa version is good too :)
@Bilama Hey, this choir in the whole broadway give me the goosebumps! they're the best voices I've ever heard! The only issue i have is that i don't know a word of african. (no offense to native africans who know if this is a distinct language. lol. i can't tell them apart.)
Samuel E. Wright who voices Mufasa on the original Broadway soundtrack also voiced the film version of Sebastian in Disney's The Little Mermaid - little Disney trivia. His voice is unbelievable <3
His voice isn't quite Alan Rickman cool, but close. One of those voices where he could put out an album of reading the phone book and I'd buy it. I want a voice that cool...no fair.
i saw this on broadway and i loved it :) even though this is a animal version of hamlet. but i just loved the puppets and the art work they did for the back drops and of course the music :)
when i went and saw this on BroadWay OMG it was so amazing. I sang along to every song was so awesome. Love this song. I like this one better then Rafikis one but both are good. I recommend watching this if you ever go to New York is just plan out amazing and way better Live ^_^
This is one of my favorite new songs from the broadway show. It sounds very haunting and mysterious. The African chanting is a nice touch as well. It adds a touch of authenticity. That it's sung by Sebastian himself from THE LITTLE MERMAID (yep, Sam Wright) also makes it a treat.
I saw the musical recently, and was QUITE pleased to find tis song. It makes SO much more sense in this context than it does at the beginning of the second movie! =)
@Benjamin1986980 I don't actually know weather he can sing or not O.O That would be interesting to find out. Assuming he could though, that would be EPIC!
Can somebody please tell me who is singing this song? I've picked up on rumors that the person singing this song is Alan Rickman!! Can anyone confirm this for me? If this is Alan Rickman, he just scored several thousand more SQUEE points from me...

I never really understood why everyone claims this is religion. I guess it could be if you wanted it to be, but it's actually just bringing up the

"That's not my father, that's just my reflection" thing from the first movie.
It's a beautiful song no matter how you want to think about it.
