  • I love to listen this song... so wonderful...

sorry, what you looking for, is not in this comment. but, in one older.

Lion king: on of my favourite disney...

  • This song is my FAVORITE! (Though, admittedly, I prefer the reprise; but both parts are FABULOUS!)

  • J'espère la revoir un jour avec toi cette comédie mon choupinou! Cette chanson, me donne des frissons à chaque fois.

now, you have to use 5-3 / 14-5 with the poem of arthur...

    lion king is just wonderful!

  • I saw this show! Its is awsome!

  • my favourite song from the lion king !

  • whats with the super long quiet part at the end, why not end the video sooner?

  • who's singing this? it sounds soo much like to The Voice of mr. Rickman :D

  • Lion King was also based off the story of Joseph in the bible

  • @4disndat2unme I think you may be thinking of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat lol jk

  • @vosejpkaman07 I wouldn't know I've never seen it, or any other broadway play for that matter

  • @4disndat2unme The Lion King was based off of Hamlet...

    (And Kimba)

  • Lion King wasn't based on only one story. It was based on multiple stories. Including Hamlet and probably Kimba.

  • Who thinks this song's replaced Circle of Life as the signature song of the Lion King?

  • I love it

  • Why aren't these brilliant people making the money idiots on Jersey Shore do?

    I don't understand you America...straighten up.

  • @ABru2011 USA, not America.

  • aaahhhhh so beautifful

  • @Patchworkdrum: Actually the story of the Lion King was based on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

  • @ManiacalMezzo

Or alternatively, the japanese show Kimba. Google it. The similarities are uncanny.

  • this song should've been in the original Lion King. it would have been epic!

  • @nikkicole54321 This song is in the beginning of the second movie. It takes the place of the song Circle of Life.

  • THIS SONG IS BEAUTIFUL.

  • I think about my girl. I think about my dead friends and family. I get the goosbebumps. And suddenly I believe.

  • I forget did this come before or after The Lion King 2?

  • @Kira1Lawliet this song was on lion king 2

  • @LaDyV843 I know. That's why I asked which came first? I want to know who took what from who?

  • @Kira1Lawliet lion king 2 got the song from lion king broadway --> TLKB(1997) - TLK2(1998)

  • Love it.

  • I liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike!! ;)

  • this song strikes right into my heart, spirit and soul

  • @kohtianyi Yours too?

  • @mcmptn i bet it stroke a lot of people

  • @kohtianyi Most likely. That's why we're all listening to it: we all recognize beauty at its finest and true classics.

  • @mcmptn oh my god yes! the way you put it describes this song to the tooth

  • @bluecharizard78 I think the true wonder of this song is the part we can't describe, but thank you. I'm glad you like my summarized description. :)

  • Probably the best song ever in a Disney movie/musical

  • Scar lives in 6 people.

  • 6 people are not worthy to become the grass which the antelopes will eat.

  • @aod2009 You said it!

I mean, we don't want to poison the poor antelopes, do we?

  • Amazing. It reminds me of our African ancestors to an extent I can't even put into words. I may not LIVE in Africa, but I claim my heritage fully. THEY LIVE IN US!

  • Crud, I voted down mai own post. XP

  • @Zazafrass In terms of evolution, Africa is the Cradle of life, the place from which all humans first descended. So ya, claim that right. =P

  • Just sang this for musical theatre club.

    Most amazing feeling ever.

  • glad they got to use this beautiful piece in the second film...yeah it would have been nice of Mufasa had gotten to sing it, but the non-mufasa version is good too :)

  • six dislikes: Scar, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, Zira, Nuka

  • @WickedLady2010 Scar is dead, Kovu should take revenge on Simba for exilement.

  • @BaltoHusky345 but Kovu Turned Good

  • i think of my grandma when i hear this song, she lives in me

  • @WickedLady2010 kwelakakith D: TT^TT

  • @Voidiria i have no idea wat that means

  • @WickedLady2010 it means beautiful XD

  • @Voidiria Oh ok lol thanks for telling me :)

  • Ok i saw this at the kennedy center and cried! I have no idea why i guess it was just amazing :)

  • I watched this show in Singapore Marina Bay Sand, it was so beautiful, and I was totally touched and encouraged by this song~~it is really fantastic

  • 497 likes: Simba, Mufasa, Serabi, Nala, Rafiki, Zazu, Timone, Pumba and the other lions, grass, plants, and the stars!

  • @20meerkat plus anyone with half a brain.

  • The Six Dislikes Are Shenzi , Banzai , Ed , Scar , Zira And One Other Hyena

  • @CP1234hello22 Maybe Nuka

  • i love this songs,it calms me

  • goosebumps anyone?

  • @Bilama Hey, this choir in the whole broadway give me the goosebumps! they're the best voices I've ever heard! The only issue i have is that i don't know a word of african. (no offense to native africans who know if this is a distinct language. lol. i can't tell them apart.)

  • @Raintalon89 Don't quote me, but it's either Swahili or Zulu. I'm pretty sure it's one of the older African dialects either way.

  • @Patchworkdrum hmm yeah, the start of circle of life was in zulu. but simba is the swahili word for lion, so i'm like @~@

  • @DeviousKenny I think they might have used both languages to give the sense of diversity and to show that it was an ancient African fable.

  • @Raintalon89 I know right:)

  • @Bilama All over.

  • This song alone would have made the sequel worth watching, nevermind that all the other songs rocked. An amazing number.

  • Samuel E. Wright who voices Mufasa on the original Broadway soundtrack also voiced the film version of Sebastian in Disney's The Little Mermaid - little Disney trivia. His voice is unbelievable <3

  • Wait, thought this was from the sequel....

  • @TRIXHOMO There is a version in the sequel, then there is this version (and the reprise) in the broadway adaptation.

  • His voice isn't quite Alan Rickman cool, but close. One of those voices where he could put out an album of reading the phone book and I'd buy it. I want a voice that cool...no fair.

  • i saw this on broadway and i loved it :) even though this is a animal version of hamlet. but i just loved the puppets and the art work they did for the back drops and of course the music :)

  • when i went and saw this on BroadWay OMG it was so amazing. I sang along to every song was so awesome. Love this song. I like this one better then Rafikis one but both are good. I recommend watching this if you ever go to New York is just plan out amazing and way better Live ^_^

  • @siriusmcbobber i prefer mufasa's version, I just really like this man's voice it's so soothing :)

  • i have this cd, and i listen to this song or rafiki's reprise every night on repeat so i can go to sleep!!

  • i sang this song for a camp play... aaaahh memories :]

  • goose bumps!!! Just Beautiful!

  • goose bumps!!!

  • am so in peace wright now hmmm

  • Something tells me Edd was playing around. ;)

Anywho..... Beautiful song. So intense, it gave me goosebumps. <3

  • ;w;

    Haunting and beautiful

  • I think the actors in Germany have better voices to sing this song, but that's my opinion. :D Also a good version of this song, I like it. :)

  • Ahh :D This song speaks so much , just the words .<333

  • Ahhhh....I saw these guys perform. My god, it was beautiful. I'd gladly go see it again if I got the chance to....

  • LOVE THIS PLAY ITS THE BOMBDIGGITY!!!!!!!

  • This is one of my favorite new songs from the broadway show. It sounds very haunting and mysterious. The African chanting is a nice touch as well. It adds a touch of authenticity. That it's sung by Sebastian himself from THE LITTLE MERMAID (yep, Sam Wright) also makes it a treat.

  • I saw the musical last weekend. It was amazing and this had to be my favorite song out of the entire show. <3

  • I saw the musical recently, and was QUITE pleased to find tis song. It makes SO much more sense in this context than it does at the beginning of the second movie! =)

  • @bugsbunny7117 I just wish they could have gotten James Earl Jones to sing it.

  • @Benjamin1986980 I don't actually know weather he can sing or not O.O That would be interesting to find out. Assuming he could though, that would be EPIC!

  • ahhh i just realized that this is sebastian the crab! <3

  • i saw this a few yearss agoo but i guess its still as good?

  • A little different than the version in the movie...but so powerful...I am literally moved to tears by this...

  • @FollowerOfTheGods This song doesn't exist in the movie, it was specifically made for the musical. And yes, it is beautiful and very powerful =')

  • @EVAPRODUCTIONMODEL He's reffering to the one in Lion King 2. Search Lion King 2 He Lives in You. :)

  • @EVAPRODUCTIONMODEL

it's from the second lion king movie ;)

  • Can somebody please tell me who is singing this song? I've picked up on rumors that the person singing this song is Alan Rickman!! Can anyone confirm this for me? If this is Alan Rickman, he just scored several thousand more SQUEE points from me...

  • @DarkComet360 As much as I love Alan Rickman, it isn't him singing it. It's Samuel E. Wright.

  • My mother has got this new kick for christmas presents she has been taking us to see shows..this was the first and I have been addicted ever since. This year it was Cirque du Soleil Alegria...just as amazing if not more. I love my mother!!!!

  • @TheAdvilMonkey Best present ever, much? My mum took me to Alegria for my 18th birthday! Definitely a show with a fitting title

  • i never saw this, but my big sis has. she went to NY twice, both times before 9/11. she saw this & Beauty & the Beast

  • Ed, Shenzi, Scar and Banzai didnt like this song...

  • 4 people are deaf

  • I was in a lion king musical, it was so moving it made me feel that I shouldn't take things for granted. and it was amazing, just be in it all it makes me smile every time I hear this song because it reminds me of all the wonderful memories and detection put in to this musical. but to be able to have a hands-on experience with this is awe-inspiring.

  • Anyone know where i can download or buy a recording of the full live show?

  • @123stew I think it's illegal, if they did sell videos of it they wouldn't get enough money at the play.

  • @EvilBunnyWabbit is the play still showing? If not i would of thoughr it would be released

  • @123stew

  • @RAC101892 You know how hyenas are. They're crude and unspeakably vain.

  • @RAC101892 ROFL i hear you total asses they are :)

  • @lioness486 Yep

  • @mcmptn Zira & Nuka also dislike this!

  • @thelittlelion16 Agreed

  • I've seen Lion King (the stage version) three times now, and by far this is the most chilling, powerful, goosebump-giving song of the whole thing. Incredible.

  • I saw the show, and Mufasa sang this to Simba when he was scolding him for wandering off to the Elephant Graveyard. I thought he was singing about the past kings that watch over from the stars.

  • @PennyXXSam

    Same, He Is

  • who sing this version?

  • If it was religious, it sounds like it would be pantheistic, which is more impersonal and spiritual, like The Force. This is usually used when referring to those that believe in reverence for their ancestors (like Mulan). Then again, this song is just about how Simba carries on with Mufasa's legacy and how Mufasa's influence on him will never die.

  • This song is in "Lion King 2," they just changed some of the words :)

  • this is the most beautiful song I've ever heard!<3 :b

  • The lion king on broadway is a MUST SEE show!! im soo gonna see it again! x

  • @L4u73nx Just saw it for the 3rd time and still blown away!

  • I never really understood why everyone claims this is religion. I guess it could be if you wanted it to be, but it's actually just bringing up the

"He lives in you" Points dramatically over pond

"That's not my father, that's just my reflection" thing from the first movie.

It's a beautiful song no matter how you want to think about it.
