One comment I'll make is you shouldn't need to open and close the jump ring as far as you did in the video, unless you're just doing it to demonstrate it is best to only open it as far as is needed.
@captmicha this is the way to do it, perhaps you were holding the pliers too hard, or doing what the lady does in this video which is opening them quite far, you usually don't need to open them that far. Other than that it is just practice
Excellent - just a quick question. You used a 'chain nose' as well as 'round nose' pliers - what's the difference between those two and needle nose pliers? I have various needle nose pliers available but can't afford many new tools given I'm only making a few gifts as one-offs.
