Does they say "He's THE man" or He's A man"? It sounds like the latter, and having a Y chromosome isn't really an achievement worthy of a faux-rock pop fuckery, is it.
i don't care what some people are saying. Tim Key is adorable and always puts a smile on my face- the awkward pauses, the running commentary and self editing in the middle of his poem, it all adds to the effect of a nice poet guy who isn't entirely sure what he's doing. that's the point of his persona.
check out Mark watson makes the world substantially better- Tim key (and minchin) are hilarious in that. :)
I guess the subtlety of Tim Key's comedy went over a lot people's heads. He's one of my favourite bits of screenwipe by far. Really didn't expect so many people to not get it. The joke isn't just that its bad poetry, its the awkwardness, timing, and quite frankly hilarious images that Tim Key creates.
Disney Channel has this shit sitcom about dancing called Shake It Up. One of the main characters has dyslexia. Wow.
There's no fucking shame on that channel. One show's entire premise is that there's a baby in it. I mean isn't that one of the cheapest tricks in the book, having some fucking infant?
Some of the shows have angels in them. Like one of them needed her wings or something. Nice job at excluding every non-Christian viewer.
And the stereotypes are shocking, especially of foreigners.
tim key needs to learn how to be a comedian. poetry and comedy don't go well together. i'm not sure if it's the way he reads or the fact i've been permeantly scarred for life and have a fear of poetry after studying it in English, but it is not funny. Any attempts to listen to it leave me empty, so now i've given up and I now skip the Tim Key segments, or wright in the comments half way through the video to tell you that i'm skipping the Tim Key segments.
@QullVideo I used to think that, but then I rewatched the series and suddenly got it. I think it's supposed to be terrible topical poetry. I was at an open mic night recently, and some bloke did a similar act but with no hint of irony, so interpret this as satire of that sort of pretentious twaddle.
@necrosmash Ah man I agree. Totally, agree. I thought at first "am I missing something? When do I laugh?" but to hear others admit it's pointless, doesn't make me feel like I've gone mad. hah.
Tim Key is absolutely brilliant, I find his poems and his persona/mannersisms absolutely hilarious, it's a very well thought out act even down to the way he is badly shot, getting things in his way and not quite getting his reflection in mirrors, nothing says it more than how he's introduced, 'Tim Key, resident poet and shambles'
It's little wonder so many stage school graduates end up being coke heads all that imposed fake happiness, the only way to sustain it through adulthood is narcotically.

I think the Tim Key segments are funny because they're the only non-funny bits of the show.

As much as I dislike Tim Key's poetry, it's preferable to that goddamn MadWorld song.

I'm not even for political correctness, but there's a line between satire and racism.

Would anyone else want Charlie to review television from diiferent countries to show their own cultural characteristics?
For example I'd love it if he reviewed anime.

I have a friend with Dyslexia. It doesn't bother her too much. Sometimes she has to play Scrabble with a dictionary.
Fuck off, Danny. COuldn't they have come up with a more serious problem?

I think that the Tim Key segments are TERRIBLE. Yeah, the poetry's shit. We get that. Shit poetry doesn't automatically equal comedy gold, though.
