Jameson literary means "The son of Jame" in both norse and modern scandinavian languages (-son and -sen are common endings of last names). Though i would guess the origin is Jamesson "the son of James".

In Sweden one of the most common last names is Andersson, which, pretty logically, stands for "son of Anders" you see, there are two "s", thus it's not "son of Ander"

Of course there are people called "Anderson" as well (not just Americanized names but also Swedes and other scandinavians but I'd guess that's a way to make the so common name more unique!

Andersson written with 2 S'es is the correct spelling (usually used in Iceland and Sweden), it can be written with one s as an abbreviation. The Norwegian and Danish version of the ending is -sen, usually only spelled with one s.

So, in answer to the question, yes, it could be an abbreviated version for "the son of James", but i don't think Pink knows that XD
