I'd love to do this to my hair~ I'm getting my hair done next wednesday and I'm trying to convince my mom to let me to do burgundy again... I was considering ombre because if I don't like it I can always get my hair cut haha. I did my whole head before and it faded to a terrible black/red color (I have brown hair, fyi) that made my skin look even more pasty than it already was :/ but it's such a pretty color X3

@xxvaneza If you want it to be dark and your hair isn't too dark it should be fine. If it is quite dark it will just 'shine' purple' if that makes sense.

@bubbleloca Depends what you mean by messing them up. I have actually done the same to my long extensions but I haven't tried removing the colour so to be honest I'm not sure.

@gabbilicious47 Its hard to say, the red (depening on how light to dark it is) may 'throw a really dark purple and if its on the orange side (lighter) it could go another way. Pre lightening it would be your best bet but if you didn't want to do that? I'm not sure if I'm making much sense sorry!

@charlymariexo Is all of your hair lightened or just streaks/foils? If so the colour won't be even all round. Depending on how light it is is how the colour comes out.

Im going to do this, but i have a blue semi permanent streak in my hair. Is there a way to make that fade faster. Ive been using dish soap and tide but the process is quite slow.

@the1thatgottaway Yeah I've found blue sticks well (unlike pink!), have you tried something like head and Shoulders (or a really cheap anti dandruff shampoo) and baking soda. Leave it in for a few minutes and repeat the process. You will want to do a treatment afterwards but since its just a streak it shouldn't be too bad, HTH

Im gonna do this to my hair but baby pink. With the foils does it matter if they are even or not like i'll try to do them evenly but does it matter if they aren't quite even?

@TheLucyroseee Honestly not really, its only noticeable if you are wearing it dead straight and if its a little uneven it just doesn't look like a definite line. I wouldn't worry too much :)

@AstaLePasta "n. A French term meaning "shaded." Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark. " Basically the roots are either lighter or darker than the ends. This is really dip dyeing but I knew people would search for it as ombre hair as well. HTH

@Madamebfatale ombre means dark to light..most ombre hair isnt light to dark..its dark to light this is just..dying your ends..good exaples of ombre is drew barrymore, khloe kardashian....dip dying is just one the processes used to get the ombre effect..dark roots..bleached out mid n lighter tips.

@laceyloxxisasm Hi there, if your hair is light blonde already I wouldnt bother bleaching it. I just get the dye from the chemist or supply store you should be able to pick up fudge/paint box or Manic panic hair dyes from any places like that , hth.

@Xily2JustinBieberX Yep for the first lot I used a purple and a little bit of white (it was a reddy purple), left it in for around 25-30 mins, no heat added. Then the second time I added blue dye to the mix and left it on for about another 10 mins, HTH!!

@maryymackk Honestly I don't bother with doing that with most colours, come out pretty good on blonde hair. Plus the oil seems to make the colours last longer. Not so much with this purple though this one in particular faded faster than the blue.
