  • I grew up watching the Lawerance Welk show. I miss the good clean family shows like the Lawerance Welk show.

  • She started with Welk when she was 19 or 20 and always had loads of talent and the warmest personality in the world. her joy just jumped off the TV screen. TY for posting.

  • Mr. Welk came up with more talent than anyone. Joanne Castle will always be my favorite. This woman can do no wrong, she is the absolute best!! I have loved her since I was a kid. What an artist.

  • Actually the only piece I really like of hers, (not that she doesn't do excellent on all her other pieces). And for this one - I'm judging it that - it must be one of the greatest piece piano performances of all time ! ! ! -- Thanks for the big pleasure ! ! !

  • who disliked this, Liberace?

  • WOW I have always loved her since I was a little kid LOL...Anyone else think she looks like Paris Hilton LOLOL ??

  • back in the mid 60's i was at at fair in Depere Wis and met JO Ann. i was 11, my i was smitten with her every week when we'd watch Larence Welk. my parents made sure to mention that when she gave me her autograph on her photo. she then bent down and gave me a kiss on the cheek and a hug- i was in 11 yr old heaven lol.

  • Love her; she's great.

  • Left hand like no other.

Sorry to inform you that this particular piece was from a CHRISTmas reunion show done in 1985. At that time Joanne had been gone from the Lawrence Welk show for about 15 years of which she talked about on the show and to her it was like coming home to a family reunion... I just got through watching this exact CHRISTmas reunion show a few minutes ago. I'm sure Joanne has played this piece on other earlier Lawrence Welk CHRISTmas shows as well.

  • I'm watching it right now on tv and it says from 1972. Can this lady tinkle the ivory or what? Very nice lady Joanne Castle. Not sure what she's doing now..

  • She was always happy.she is a great player .fantastic********

  • This woman is and always will be a phenom. One of the greatest of all time and one of my idols.

  • @ghallums She RULES the upright!

  • MAN SHE IS AWSOME :O.

  • She rocks. I had this on an old cassette tape but never saw her play it. Thanks!

  • Isn't she fantastic?! It was 1985 for a Welk family reunion show.

  • cool

  • i say it was in the 70's.

  • I wonder what year this would have been? 1980's maybe...It must be a special...I'm sure it was long long after she left the Lawrence Welk show.
