  • so how is it you cut a piece of music from a tune, and turn it into a moveable 'sound wave'? I am basic learner - does it just involve ripping the tune into Ableton, and chopping it up?

  • Awesome

  • Two of the best artists in history.

  • That is really cool. I've been a big fan of Bob James going back some 20 years now and recently I've started liking Royksopp's work after hearing it on SOMA FM.

  • first note is wrong, listen carefully to the ''eple''. it's sampled in other way

  • you just keep these videos coming and I'll subscribe :D

  • oooohhhh cool!!!!

  • fail

  • Wow, amazing. It never occured to me that Eple might be sampled. Leave it to Royskopp to make something sound that good.

  • wow!!!!!

  • the pitch is too high.

  • I know, it's one tone higher, but the "progression" is the same. Little mistake.

  • yeah i noticed that. =)

  • fuck off!

  • Nice video.

  • That was excellent, the drop down in pitch I didn't understand till just now and I thought they sampled the lower notes obviously not! :)

  • its not 100 % eple but is equal amazing

  • Quality stuff! :)

  • it's incredible! its eple!!!!!!!

  • That's awsome!

  • very cool

  • Very nice man :)!

    Keep it up :)

  • back in 2000, they didn't have Ableton. Best song ever, and thanks for the video :)

  • @villevirtanen00

Actually both Eple and Ableton came out the same year... 2001 as far as I can remember. But Ableton was a very simple program back then, and wouldn't have been used to do this... but you could re-create it with a sampler from the 80s if you wanted to.

  • @villevirtanen00 They would just used an Akai Sampler.

  • That was so cool!

  • Please could you make a video on Modjo Chillin' in the same spirit. Thank ;-)

  • Of course! I'll try to make it as soon as i've got some spare time :)

  • (since the release) Thanx, it's also really well done! Very good job, dude!
