Differin gel helps clear up scarring as well? I thought it was used to help make your skin less oily? Thats great though if it helps with scarring too! :) Im on the differn .03 right now, no improvement yet :/ just started about 2 and a half weeks ago though!
@gayleisgay The doctor said the average time for scarring to heal is 10 months on differin. Differing gel is meant to make skin less oily, reduce pore sizes, and gently exfoliate your skin. Thus, older women tend to use it for elasticity. I started using .01%, now I use .03 and added 5% benzoyl peroxide. 0.3% differin is more drying. Some people have initial breakout, some people don't. I would say wait it out. Good luck and let me know the results after a month. :)
@gayleisgay Differin definitely helps with scarring..My derm prescribed me 0.1%, it peeled off my skin and made the scars much lighter within 3 weeks...I must say I was really impressed..(i used clindoxyl gel during the day and 2% salicyclic acid face wash)... I think the scars will probably be gone in another 2 months..Good luck!..just dont give up on it
