  • when i listened the song and watched the singer i feeled like he is a gay XD

  • i...am getting the adaptable guitar

  • Everybody likes Misery Buisness...

  • is pro mode as hard to learn as i think it is??? o_O

    looks intimidating...

  • @Numbah1Namek nah just work your way up to expert

  • like a boss

  • I like the sound it makes when he strums.:) idk why........

  • HOLY CRAP,THATS LIKE THE SAME CHART AS REAL GUITAR,I CAN PLAY THIS ON PRO GUITAR AND REAL GUITAR,but i learned real guitar first

  • @somiati

That's kinda the whole point of Pro Guitar xD

So that it's the same thing.

I'm using it to help teach me the song on "real" guitar now,

    Because tabs are fucking useless.

  • always hated how it switches between rythem and lead

  • Dude you should get a squier

  • AAAHH!! the singers a HESHE!! :O

  • how do you use override on pro guitar?

  • WTF are a2 and e2's? im a 'real' guitarist and i've never heard of em...

  • @8Beowulf8 You're obviously not a very good 'real' guitarist then.

  • @arbiter58 I didn't realize it was an Asus2 & Esus2... Ususually you have the "sus" in there, nice try on trying to be a smart-ass though.

  • @8Beowulf8 Thanks man, I try.

  • Just buy a real guitar, haha.

  • there is a guy singing in the screen and its coming out as a female's voice. lol

  • Sounds like a strumming button like in Guitar Hero :P hehe

  • i still dont understand how pro guitar frickin works

  • @syngervice67 Like a real one.

  • @diashi120 no, i mean like how to match the chords on the screen

  • @syngervice67 Tabs?

You put your fingers on the buttons of the fret that the screen displays. Like a real one basically.

You could go to websites to learn how to position your fingers for chords.

  • @syngervice67 It's a move that LITERALLY you have to know how to play a real guitar to play along to

  • the singer is a guy...i thought it was programed to be a girl O____________O

  • @DrumSetAlec when its up to the game it chooses a girl but when you assign stand-ins for your band it uses those and only those, so if you dont assign any girl stand-ins, the game will not conjure up a girl, it will use one of the characters you assigned

  • 2:18 OH GOD CHORDS

  • Now for everyone who says play a real guitar here it is

  • I CAN PLAY THIS ON REAL INTRUMENTS!!!! (drums) (:

  • This makes me feel lame when I play with the five note guitar now. =(

  • all right i need to get this game

  • al right i need to get this game

  • I can do every part of this song EXCEPT the freaking chords. I suck at chord transitions

  • rofl the singer is a dude

  • i thingk real guitarist like slash can actually play this game now

  • what tuning for the strings

  • @TheoneFreeCakePro

It's in drop C#.. if there is a tuning like that :p

Basically a drop D but half a note lower for all strings.

  • @helovesoatmeal thats why when itried to use tis vid as tabs it sounded like shit!

  • This was awesomeee! (:

  • The singer is gay!

  • @MultiDJpatrick its not justin Bieber

  • Didn't know Hayley was a guy.

  • @PernillaPH lol

  • 2 people cant evn play rock band on easy!

  • Play real guitar, losers.

  • @frostythesmokeman Dang, I haven't seen a comment like this since Guitar Hero 3 came out lmao

  • @frostythesmokeman uhm pro guitar is just like real guitar!

  • @frostythesmokeman dude this is only possible when u play real guitar btw why do u watch this vid if u hate it ?

    yes i play guitar

  • which game is it ? can u tell me the name ? I'd like to download it to play !

  • I'm usually against the "play real guitar" comments on GH and RB videos, but you seriously might as well play a real guitar instead of this.

  • @LittleWildman It's just a game, it's not meant to replace real guitar.

  • @boyoboyySH Yeah but what I'm saying is that if you can play this, then you shouldn't have trouble playing a real guitar, so why not do it?

  • @LittleWildman There are two pro guitars available for RB3, I believe: The Squier and the Mustang. The Squier is a real electric guitar with 22 frets and six strings, and the Mustang is a midi instrument with 17 frets. These guitars are real instruments, so if you want to play music with them, you can. Does that answer your question?

  • @boyoboyySH Yes I know, you don't have to explain them to me, I know a lot about Rock Band (well I quit a while ago but I do know what I'm talking about). But what I'm saying is that if you have the ability to play the song as it's meant to be played, then you should play it on an actual guitar. I have no problems with the regular 5 button players because it's much easier than real guitar, but this is almost exactly the same as real guitar, so why not just stop playing and learn it for real?

  • @LittleWildman I said this in the first place: It's just a game, it's not meant to replace real guitar. You can play real guitar in addition to playing this game and I'm sure a lot of people do already play guitar before this game. I was self taught at guitar before the first guitar hero game ever came out, so I can't say I was inspired by guitar hero to learn guitar. And when you say "stop playing and learn it for real", with this game you essentially are learning for real.

  • @boyoboyySH Ahh right, I misunderstood your first comment. My point still stands though that if you took the time playing the game and put it into playing the instrument, you'd learn a lot more.

  • @LittleWildman I would agree with that insofar as there are some elements to playing a real guitar that you can't recreate on the Mustang such as string bending, slides and pinch harmonics etc etc, and you can't hear what you're playing as you're playing it. The game does offer tutorials so it's valuable to beginners. Some people pick up an instrument and try to learn and get frustrated with it; with this game I'd say some of that frustration is alleviated (cotd.)

  • @boyoboyySH and you can use this game alongside learning a real instrument. Playing on the pro guitar does translate rather well to real guitars (with exception to some of the elements I already mentioned) so If you wanted to spend hours practicing real guitar and wind down with some Rock Band 3, it's not time wasted because you're still learning and you're still practicing.

  • @boyoboyySH You can take the Squier pro guitar, plug it into the game, turn the game volume off, plug the guitar into your amp, and play the song that way... :D

That's what I do. It's quite fun, and you get the impression that you're just playing along with the song, with the game telling you how, as opposed to just playing a game. Just be sure your guitar is tuned correctly for the song.

Before I Forget is really fun this way.

  • @boyoboyySH That's the point I was getting at. I could maybe agree about the game being less frustrating but in my opinion, RB Pro Guitar looks extremely complicated. Especially since you have to look at the screen and not your hands (which is what a beginner would do).

  • @LittleWildman You can use the screen for reference and then look down at your hands. The game also tells you what you are fretting on the screen. Once you get comfortable with the chord shapes etc you can look away from your hands and to the screen. I play pro guitar and I look at my hands a lot and still have managed to get decent enough scores. I'm second place on this song currently if that means anything. Granted, I'm not a beginner, but I did have to learn chords I've never played before.

  • @boyoboyySH Hey, I have a real guitar as well. Is the tablature for any song on Rock Band the exact same for real guitar pieces. For example, if you were to play a power chord over, say the 3rd and 5th fret in a song, would Rock Band have the same position for the song?

Also are you saying I can hook up my real Squire and play this game? That'd be sick.

Lastly, all pro-guitar needs is a PM sensor. Then it would basically be like the real thing.

PS. Raining Blood is fucking impossible on guitar.

  • @Jacksonrox13

No you can't plug in any old electric guitar and have it work with the game, unfortunately. I'm not sure what you're asking about the tabs there. All I can say is the tabs are optimised for the type of guitar you use. If the game instructs you to play 3rd fret on the 6th string and 5th fret on the 5th string then that's what you have to do. You can't play the same notes elsewhere on the neck. Because of the limitations , the tabs are not perfect.

  • @boyoboyySH My Squire Strat only has 21 frets. You may have an incorrect calculation there.

  • I'd buy the Pro Guitar just for this song.

  • hayley williams IS A DUDE!!!!! xd

  • question, do they in any way at all explain tuning changes? I know they don't denote harmonics or anything like that, but do they explain that this is in drop d in case you want to play it on a real guitar? I'm not criticizing im just curious.

  • Perfect SOLO!!!!!

  • Can Rockband get any songs that we havnt already thrashed in GH

  • @Jamage007 Probably, since GH has been canned

  • i just ahve a question is this the actual chords in the song?

  • @Fkingsexyalienmonkey They are the real chords, but the thing is, he isnt using the Stratocarter, which is coming out Tuesday (March First) but on the Stratocaster it would be pretty much playing a real song on a real guitar.

If you decide to get the Pro Strat guitar, then if you or a friend has an amp, if you get good while playing the game plug it in and see if it works and has the right notes. if not maybe you have to tune the guitar then.

  • wow ure good

  • if anybody is wondering this is tuned in drop C#.

  • oh wow. I didn't know you could the numbers on all strings! that'd make it much easier.

  • wow pro guitar seems hella confusing lol , pro keys and pro drums are so easy

  • i think its easier to play it on the real guitar :P but great job at it :D

  • @try2b3m3 This IS real guitar. Well, unless he's using the Mustang Controller. But it's still damn close.

  • @NoXIIIRoxas haha whoa okay ;P well are the tabs for the song are included with the game?

  • @try2b3m3 Basically. Just play the song in Pro Mode or play the Trainer for the song. I don't have 3 myself but I hope to get it soon. From what I've seen so far I'll be able to learn guitar much quicker than looking up tabs or video lessons online and trying to figure it out from there.

  • @NoXIIIRoxas

You'll learn the hand-eye coordination. Thats basically it.

  • @NoXIIIRoxas its the mustang he is using. The REAL guitar comes out in 5 Days (MArch First)

  • @linkrulessonicsux Well, I know that now. At the time I thought the Squire was already out.

  • @NoXIIIRoxas o ok. sorry if i kinda sounded rude :S

  • @twinxs1000 actually 300 dollar tabs! :D

  • @ChatRouletteKiller technically you can just get them on youtube. same as watching this video.

  • @twinxs1000

    lulz

  • play a real guitar alr-----ohh nevermind

  • Someone full combo this!

  • Pro guitar scares me.

  • @AxFirez yah me to

  • Man.... get a capture card..

  • I've been using some of these charts to learn tabs for songs on bass lol

  • Wow man your fucking good :D gj

  • this is tuned in drop c sharp. i thinks its ridiculous to tune it to that <_<

  • You should invest in getting the real guitar that doubles for RB3, no needing to get used to something different

  • omg pro guitar is confusing

  • HOLY CRAP!!! 98% on expert? dang...I would probably only get 20%....

  • @samuraisage WITH No Fail on like me? Or would you simply fail at around 20% without it?

  • @NoXIIIRoxas Lol ASSHOLE

  • @NoXIIIRoxas

    With No Fail

    -_-

  • we know what guitar hero is working on ;)

  • @gamernoobX i hate to say it, but they probably wont do it nearly as well

  • @thomas1980596 true

  • don't u guys know about the new rock band 3 pro guitar mode it's a real guitar or almost works the same way :P but anyway how long have u been playing guitar?

  • why are there numbers when the notes come down?and are there real strings for the strum bar?

  • why are there numbers when the notes come down?

  • "a couple of rough chords"?!? goddamn dude, this looks insane. I've been playing "real" guitar for about 2 years now, I'm so-so I guess, and I think I'd still have to start this game on easy lol. This looks really complicated! you are insanely badass!

  • woah!!!!!!! 100% solo...i fail around 0:07

  • Do songs you download and songs from the first to games work in pro mode once you import them?

  • @xcstar8 only pro drums

  • @xcstar8 some i think you have to pay extra to get the pro

  • Wait a minute! I hear a girl sing but I see a man do it.... Is that Justin bieber?!

At least this way the players will get to actually play a guitar....

  • How do you get chords to display both numbers? Mine only displays where the index finger goes

  • the only reason pro guitar was made was because expert became easy and rock band thought we needed a challenge

    and voila

  • Dude, have you ever played guitar before this? And if not how long did it take you to get that good and how much time do you practice?

  • i wanna learn how to play real guitar then play this game!

  • @SamAndTrent

    What?

  • I'd say Pro mode works perfectly. I've already learned a few songs just by watching these Pro Vids. It teaches chord shapes, strumming patterns, and is accurate down to the tuning that it was recorded in. It even has trainers that help you learn stuff besides songs. About the only things that it doesn't teach are pinch harmonics, string bending, and teaching you how to tune a guitar but that's all easy stuff and can be learned in a short amount of time.

  • Are you tapping the string at times instead of picking?

  • Noob play a real guitar and get a life....

    wait....

  • Freaking lol'ing at all the people who don't know how to play guitar.

NOT SO EASY IS IT. NOT SIX COLORED BUTTONS AND SOMETHING TO PRESS UP AND DOWN.

  • @Brangoth4 *5 colored buttons. :)

  • on the Mustang, theres a button for every fret on every string. are the buttons hard to press because they are so thin and small?

  • two words: FUCKING HARD!!!

  • I'm just trying to understand the notes... wtf do all the numbers mean?

  • @spyderpilotuser the numbers indicate wat fret to press

  • yeah, but can u play before i forget expert 100%?? i just got RB3 this morning for christmas and did it 99% first try

  • I'm glad that everybody thinks that playing an overpriced "real" guitar with only 20 frets to a game, that doesn't require tuning, is going to teach them real guitar. lol.

  • @drfreshey It won't teach people guitar, but if you already have been playing guitar for a little while it'll definitely help.

  • @TDubsesbueno I suppose so, but if they already play guitar, why would they pay to get a brand new one JUST so they could do this?

  • @drfreshey I've been playing guitar for a little over a year now, and I am thinking of buying the Madcatz pro guitar ($150). It helps to teach chords and helps people learn songs, which in turn, helps you play better when you learn different techniques. Also, I love the Rock Band 3 tracklist and tabs on the internet for guitar are kind of inaccurate.

  • @TDubsesbueno What website do you use? The tabs on Guitar World are pretty good. I'm not saying that you shouldn't play Pro Mode because it is inferior or something like that. I am just saying that it is too incomplete to teach guitar from scratch. I'm glad to hear you play guitar. I've played for 8 years. Play on, brother.

  • @drfreshey I think I usually use something like 911tabs. And yeah, I see what you're saying, there's no way that picking up pro mode from scratch will teach you guitar. It's always good talking to another guitarist.

  • did it just say like 850 songs? from where? theres not even that much in RB history total.

  • @mothrabattra there are tho, dlc dawg

  • @mothrabattra

There's over 2000 songs in the Rock Band library.

  • lmfao the lead singer is a guy?

  • @bboybacnis lol i was wondering the same thing but with justin bieber in thought

  • Wow!!! Love the sound of the strings being plucked.

waaaaay cooler than that single plastic strum thingy of those old guitars.

    (clack clack clack)

    P.S. you are amazing.

  • 2 members of paramore left the band. LOL

  • bros got range

  • i take it this is quite easy to play on guitar, Is the notes basically just power chords?

  • nice job

  • play hyperspeed lol

  • I don't know how the rock band 3 guitar works, but if you have a mixing desk could you plug the guitar into it, record while you're playing + upload a sound file please? It would be interesting to see how accurate the game's chart is to the real music :)

I don't care how good or bad the quality is, just need a rough idea, i might buy the pro guitar if it will teach me a few songs :3

  • @XvXShadowsXvX the creators of rock band 3 made the game designed so after playing you could if you wanted to pick up a real guitar and play the song you just learned. and later on they are going to be releasing a real guitar with real strings that you can use for the game and then go plug into an amp and rock out by yourself so in my opinion wait to get that guitar but yes this can teach you some songs

  • @boombaby16 Ahhh right, thanks for clearing that up :)

i thought they said you could do that in an interview i watched but didnt know if they'd gone through with it :)

I will probably wait and buy the guitar with ACTUAL strings so i can learn + play with the same guitar :)

  • This was a good job, but these days it's only ranked 4th on the leaderboard...

  • This was a good job, but these days it's only ranked 4th on the leaderboard...

  • Is there any form of palm-muting on this?

  • LOL @ Vocals Gender Confusion

wait.... is that Justin Bieber? XD

  • can you play with a real guitar? oh and do you have to tune the guitar before you play a song?

  • You mind if I'd ask how long it took you to do this well on this song? I'm just wondering how long it takes to play on such a complicated gaming instrument.

  • this shit is so confusing this is why i play drums

  • haha

rock band 3 singer gender confusion XD

  • @Darkstorm406 you actually need higher frets for Misery Business in the Solo... so you just play it 1 Octave lower.

  • wtf? is justin bieber singing in the game?

  • @ableite At least that singer in the game is a men!

  • @ableite FUCK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ableite are you fucking kidding me? WHO CARES?!?!?

  • @stewieeatspie

    Did I ask you anything?

  • @ableite LOL still doesn't matter but w/e

  • @ableite if your band is all boys then one of em has to sing for the girl songs...

  • @ableite Because he has a females voice.

  • @ableite Dude that's a chick

  • @Killzone742 i think thats what he meant justin bieber sounds like a chick

  • @Killzone742 Its not just a chick. It's Hayley Williams.

  • @Killzone742 No I think he meant the vocalist being displayed... not Hayley WIlliams' vocals...
