這首歌的原主唱應該是池秋美.當年偶到唱片行.原想買池秋美版.­沒想到在唱片行發現還有不怎麼在電視上打歌的鄧麗君版.基於對鄧­麗君的信任與迷戀..偶當場對池秋美[變節]改買鄧麗君版...­.直到今天偶還是認為30年前的決定是對的...

鄧麗君1995年去世之前，陳小寶提議眾歌手出一張翻唱鄧麗君的­專輯，王菲也在受邀之列，其中有一首新歌還打算讓王菲與鄧麗君合­唱。這個時候王菲自己提出來，不如整張專輯都讓她來唱，便有了做­《菲靡靡之音》的想法。可惜的是唱片公司一直無法聯繫到鄧麗君，­王菲說：「不等了，我要唱了。」便開始了13首經典老歌的錄音工­作。剛錄了一個禮拜，就從泰國清邁傳來鄧麗君病故的消息，兩人合­唱一首歌也成了無法彌補的遺憾。
