Looks like a lot of flavor in that marinade, and it's been a while since I've done short ribs. Now I have an excuse. I'll bet this would be dynamite on steaks, too.
@anmoose My sister has done it with flap steak... and it is delicious. This is good...I just wish I could find one that at least rivals the stuff I can get at Jin Joo. I see a lot of recipes that use an Asian pear as a tenderizer (grated)...so I may try that next time, and another recipe. I won't stop until I find the real deal ;)
@Perrywinkleable As I don't know foodwishes, nope, sure didn't. I actually did this video over a year or more ago and posted it on a different channel. I've been uploading all those old videos interspersed with newer ones as I make them. You can generally tell as the quality was not as good back then. YT had many size restrictions at that time.
@CookingAndCrafting Haha well that is very weird that you posted them at similar times! Both very differnet recipes but both look very yummy! Not sure if I am able to get Short Ribs here in England!
omg, these look absolutely delicious! When u showed the grill with all that grilling on there I just wanted 2 invite myself over 2 eat, crawl inside the pc screen & dig in & devour me sum of all that! It had my mouth watering! Made me wish I had Smell-O-Vision! lol It is that time of the year 2 start grilling again. We just bought a new bbq grill 2! Maybe this will b the 1st thing we grill out on it sumtime soon! Thanx 4 posting & sharing! Looks sooo good! :-)~
@CookingAndCrafting yeah we have 2 do things as weather permits here unfortunately. I do grill sum n the winter even when it's cold just not near as much as I do n the spring & summer when it's warmer outside. Like right now is when we get alot of rain, thunderstorms & tornados so u have 2 plan grilling around all that. I wish we got weather like u guys get all year round! :)
@freitasex I really do think it adds a flavor, but I think it's when you actually eat them, as they do adhere to the meat while being cooked. I think the sesame flavor is from the sesame oil

@CookingAndCrafting The Asian pear makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the world! You can either grate it or puree it for the marinade. So delicious!

Looks awesome Beth.
A dumb question.... do you feel adding the seeds adds flavor or just texture etc?
