Hoping that HP will get Windows 7 quickly . Plan to only get this after Windows 7 comes out, so I don't have to spend extra money and time to go upgrade it a month after I get it ;D

linux can make any pc run better. don't fall for mac, they suck, the only thing that makes their products seem better is the software. if your asking about the software used on the touchsmart, its windows vista, but hp has a special touchscreen program that handles your programs and stuff.

maxena47, you brought up a good point, and you are correct. Per information I received from HP, TouchSmart is just an added feature not for 'real-time' business use, but something that can be fun to use. What's nice about it is that you can disable it in control panel if you don't want to use it at all.

i think this is a cool pc but the touch here is not basic it is a luxury i prefer using the mouse instead of siting on the desk and touch i mean people will get tired from it after 2 min of using it it is not practical

Yes, you can play quite a few games on the desktop using the touch screen. I use it quite often, especially playing a card game or chess.

tell me ONE advantage to having a touch screen PC?

Thats now what PC's are supposed to be for. If you want that buy an Ipod Touch for god sake. A PC is a machine designed to do work and jobs. Imagine editing a video or cropping/editing pictures or doing spreadsheets on this computer?

Yeah i know it still comes with a mouse and keyboard, so then why pay so much extra money to have a touch screen you'll never fuckin use???

Ya know, touch is only fun with a hand-held device, a touchscreen computer is too much work. Fun idea, but why would I want to lift my whole arm and put a million fingerprints on my computer screen when I could just move the mouse a few millimeters. THINK HP THINK! You can't just copy apple and expect to revolutionize this stuff.

How in any way shape or form does this "copy apple". Maybe SOMEWHAT (but hardly) the HP touchsmart software and the way you can view album art but it still dosen't copy apple. If anything it copies the Sony Viao Desktop LT Series.

i got this computer and i found out i dont hav 2 touch the screen u can hav your finger really close to the screen 2 select an item or icon.

yep, that's true! The reason for that, if you're not sure why is because in the top corners of the monitor are sensors that "read" your finger right at the point before you actually touch the screen. It's cool, because it cuts down on fingerprints! LOL ..
