Hope someone can help: The quality of the video using this technique is terrible unless you use the device native version... But when i try to record a movie it stops after 1/10th of a second and says I have reached the maximum recording time. Can anyone help / has anyone experienced the same problem? Is there a way to record H.264 and make it not look unwatchably blurry??

@carbine781 it does sound record, initially it doesn't, when you start a new screen recording and the black QT box appears there should be a little drop down arrow on the right, click it and there should be an option to use the built-in microphone, by default its selected to none for some reason. this only works if you have a built in microphone obviously which most macs do

ManyCam is great as well, but when I used Windows I used the program CamStudio which is a Camtasia Studio alternative! And of course there is Camtasia Studio! Hope this helped!
