Hey, I was there too! Support was great! One fellow who drove by gave us the thumbs down and called out, "Call it something else!" To that I say this; 1) Why would you deny someone a fundamental right because of what it's named? 2) We do call it something else, we call it GAY Marriage, unfortunately, just as we still call it INTERRACIAL Marriage, instead of just marriage. *sigh* We've still got some big steps to take before we all have equality.

Look, I personally have no problem with gay people getting married. If you want to be as miserable as heterosexual married couples, be my fucking guest. But why SPIT on the voting process? Prop 8 WON- PERIOD- because the voters spoke. If you reverse the will of the people, we're not living in a democratic society, are we?

I think people need to study Con Law more seriously in High School. Why should the majority be allowed to vote on the rights of a significant minority? The answer: they shouldn't, hence the role of the judiciary to interpret the constitution, since the majority has no idea what it says...

I think it's funny how people keep saying that Prop 8 is "the will of the people" when it's only the ignorance and intollerance of about half the people. I mean, if 52% of your friends wanted pizza for lunch instead of sandwiches, would you impose pizza on everyone? I should hope not. I support both pizza and sandwiches, people are entitled to eat what they want.

Yeah, it was a morning thing... and I like your sign idea! Make sure if you come to one, to make it REALLY colorful and bright so people see it because i saw a lot of people with like a white poster with a navy blue marker or something... mine was rainbow so you could see it pretty flippin well but yeah :] I hope to see you at one of the protests, not that i would know its you because well... oh nevermind XD

Awsome awsome awsome!!! We were at the Boston, Ma. rally this afternoon...great turnout there too. Lets keep up the good fight, hold the torch high, stay brave, and persevere. We must...it isnt simply some opinion..its WHO WE ARE. Never should a tyrannical majority strip a minority of its human civil rights to existance. Where would be if the south had been allowed a vote on the civil rights of slaves??? The popular majority of the time was that they were not equal as well...lets stand up now!!
