  • I find it funny people say big is the worst character by far and yet here he goes and pass you at the last second and takes home the win.

  • I GOT IT THE WII THANKS BRO

  • I have mario kart wii and my sister loves it. Me, not so much. However, I love FZERO GX. That game is awesome. I would totally sell mario kart wii for this. It looks freaking awesome

  • @greataetherXD1177 If your sister loves it, don't sell it. Don't sell off something that makes her happy.

  • House of the dead!? seriously!?

  • @Kalakauai123 Seriously.

  • I used this as dubbing material if that's okay with you. I will credit you

  • @Danto734 That's fine.

  • now i wanna play JSRF but...... i lost it :'(

  • I NEVER saw this part of shibuya in JSRF!!!!!!! probably the part you cant go to

  • lol did i see NiGHTS thar? 3:50

  • 2:14 what you could've done 2 slow shadow down is fire that red rocket from behind, it gets rear players too!

  • BIG RED...BUTTON? ಠ_ಠ

  • yay curien mansion is finally in a sega racing game....now if only we had some HOTD characters like....G or someone, idk

  • aww dammit, when the whale lagoon stages were the same, I thought that you could connect the wii version and the ds version for multiplayer! This vid just proved me wrong.

  • anouncer: eggman is pushing his BIG red button

    player: ಠ_ಠ

  • House of the Dead is banned in Germany, you cannot even reference it in anything. Sumo Digital did it so they wouldn't have to make a separate logo and whatnot for the German release.

  • Why did they give an epic character such a weird looking kart?

  • What's so weird about it?

    It looks awesome!

  • Hahahaha fuckin big gets his ass owned by a damn rocket ahahahaha!

  • this game looks alright! :p

  • can u use a gamecube controller 4 the wii version

  • @MrAwsomeman700Jr No, it only uses the Wii Remote (Wii Wheel), Nunchuk, and Classic Controller.

  • @Overhazard word of the day CRAP

  • is that song the jsrf version of let mom sleep

  • @ihateschoolnigeria29 Yes, it is.

  • @kksShadow913

Depends on your definition of "cheatin"

  • 1:12 sorry

  • at 1:14 knuckles SHUT UP from rivals

  • what version of the game is this?

  • @mcmousy This is the Wii version.

  • FYI, the reason it's called Curien Mansion (& the fact that it says that on Zobio & Zobiko's vehicle) is because the House of the Dead series is banned in Germany, so they called it Curien Mansion to bypass the ban & be able to release the game in Germany.

  • Yeah, I found out about that later reading up on Sumo Digital. It's an interesting loophole. The gore in the logo is still there, but by calling it "Curien Mansion" and referring to the zombies as "creatures," they bypass the censors.

  • Grr! cant the commentator be quiet?!?! He is ruining one of the best songs in JSRF!

  • Well, it's not like it's your only chance to hear it.

  • But its so amazing <3

  • @tomsou99 I bought my son the DS version, thankfully there is no announcer in it. But the songs are all MIDIs, including the JSRF songs. :(

  • I never got the item.

  • From 1st to 4th in five second...

  • JSR FTW!

  • hmmmm..... i relly like this game and I really want it, it seems like Mario Cart but with Sega charactors.

  • Cool, its Tokyo! :D

  • I don't think I'll pick this one up, same as Mario Kart Wii.

  • @cheesewumboalt

You should rent it though. It is actually pertty well done. I think I like it more than mario kart Wii

  • I guess, it doesn't look bad.

  • who is knuckle's voice actor? It just occured to me that he kind of sounds like Yami Yugi from Yugioh.

  • His name is Dan Green

  • This seems to be a really cool game.

I don't think I'll be getting it though.

I have enough fun with Mario Kart Wii.

  • are you still doing mario kart vids plz tell

  • Yes, I will continue to play Mario Kart Wii.

  • YAAYY!!!11

  • ANNOUNCER == MADWORLD

    OMGHAX?

  • Sega really should have made another JSRF... and another Shenmue, guess we can always dream though

  • I think that course is from the first Jet Set Radio, seeing as the Beat from the last game was kept referring to a Captain something or other, who was the villain of the first game. Also, there is no Shibuya Downtown in JSRF, the closest is Shibuya Terminal, which is a great big bus station and the location of the Rokkaku Expo.

Secondly, the House of the Dead stage is called Curien Mansion because of something to do with German law. I forget what.

  • That's interesting. It's the deal with Germans and zombies, isn't it? And how they're as sensitive to violence in the media as we Americans are to sex.

So you're one of the few to have played both games...I thought Future was a remake of the original. Is it actually a sequel?

I guess I'll ask you right now before I proceed: The upcoming Jet Set courses are Rokkaku Hill and Highway Zero. Are they in either game?

  • Are the songs Rock it on and Sweet Soul Brother in any version of this game?

  • P.S. Oh yes, and "Rock It On" and "Sweet Soul Brother" are not on here, nor are their remixes from Jet Set Radio Future. All of the songs are taken from Future.

  • they aren't in any version?

    MY DREAMS!!!!!!

    THEY'VE BEEN CRUSHED!!!!!

  • Is 'The Concept of Love' in there? I love that song so much that I might actually buy the game for it.

  • it is

  • Also, if you want to hear how it's used in the game, it's the song selected for Highway Zero in Samba Cup, race 2.

  • @impostoroak557 As a matter of fact, it's the main theme for the JSR tracks. :3

  • I've never played the first game, but I think JSRF is set years after JSR. There isn't a Rokkaku Hill in JSRF, but there is a Rokkaku-Dai Heights, which is pretty much a slum.

Highway Zero did feature, it was pretty much a great big neon lit street.

There is way to distinguish between the two games- the character, Beat.

In the first game, he wore pretty normal headphones and green goggles with orange lines on them.

In JSRF, Beat has crazy headphones with antennae, but normal blue goggles.

  • Okay. So most of the stuff here is based on the original Jet Set Radio. The entire game treats everything as from Jet Set Radio Future and pretends the original doesn't exist, for some reason.

  • How many playable characters are there?

  • There are 20 playable characters in the PS3 version, 21 in the Wii verison (Mii), and 22 in the Xbox 360 version (Banjo-Kazooie and Xbox Live Avatars).

  • @Overhazard

Alright, thanks. I don't know why, but when considering sonic games (for me, at least), the number of playable characters can be a make or break decision.

  • Well, this is a kart racer, so there will naturally be a larger number of playable characters than in a platformer. They all play roughly the same anyway, maybe except for Opa-Opa.

  • So what does that rainbow power-up (that Shadow used at 4:34) do anyway?

  • I got this for the DS, I'm using an Acekard so I can't close the lid on my DS or it shuts off.

I plain to get the WAY BETTER Xbox 360 Version when I go to pick up FINAL FANTASY XIII!!

  • Hmmm. I remember playing Jet set radio when I was younger. Fun game!

  • "Eggman is pushing his big red button"

    Did I mishear that?

  • No, you didn't.

The "big red button" normally refers to a button a villain would press to activate something catastrophic. It comes from pulp fiction and spy thrillers from the earlier parts of the 20th century. In these stories, the big red buttons often launched missiles or activated machinery.

  • I thought as much, I was just being a sarcastic jackass.

Some of the dialogue sound awkward; as if they were direct translations, or it might just be because English is my second language as well...
