@Mrrunescapeaddict100@DramaDon83 yeh bottom abdominals are hard to make pop out. they are immediately triggered when doing the leg lift pull up pullups. try mixing it up so you dont get so bored. a great way to work those is by doing leg lifts on a flat bench. lay down with your butt resting on the end of a bench with a 5 pound (to start) dumbbell in between your feet and bring your legs (straightened) down and up for 3 sets of 25 in between other abdominal exercises. then use 10lbs, 15lbs,etc

Got to love the pullup, great video. I had an outdoor pullup bar, now I have a very good one in my door frame. I still can do 10, maybe more some days maybe less others. the Armstrong pull up routine used by USMC still works even guys who start out wth only 3 or 4 can do 15 or more by following the routine. Nice vid. You can also do "horizontal pull ups"! They work the lats big time because you're using them to hold yourself horizontally and then you use your back muscles to "row" yourself up to the bar. They're pretty awesome.

Actually the 90 degree leg lift pull ups are one of the hardest pull up variations if performed with a really wide grip (a little bit wider than yours in this video). However, the final step is the one-arm chin up/pull up (that I can't do yet) ;)

@brades92 it's true that it's not good for your back, if you don't have a strong back, that is. i don't recommend it for anyone who is starting out. doing this exercise limits the true potential of a latissimus dorsi workout, but it does strengthen your trapezius muscles.

If you excessively and incorrectly take ANYTHING, you have problems. Drink a case of coca-cola a week and tell me how things are going after a month.
If you keep your legs and feet together fully extended with toes pointed, you will gain more core strength from these exercises, just something to bear in mind.
personally ive found doorway chinning bars dont give me enough room to perform. i'd reccomend (if you have the room) to get a stand alone bar built on a frame. you get alot more room to manuver. plus most come with push-up and tricep dip handles.

If you keep your legs and feet together fully extended with toes pointed, you will gain more core strength from these exercises, just something to bear in mind.

personally ive found doorway chinning bars dont give me enough room to perform. i'd reccomend (if you have the room) to get a stand alone bar built on a frame. you get alot more room to manuver. plus most come with push-up and tricep dip handles.

@1988gdyear or you could get a bar, and then get 2 chains to hang it from, i have 3 of them in my basement hanging from my supports, :) and they are good, but more challanging because the bar shakes and moves,
