  • Ive been waiting a long long time to hear this particular piece played so well, so strongly and sensitively. bravo!

please post all the telemann flute fantasies? Yay!

  • do you play in any orchesta?

  • Gorgeous Nina!

  • im 16 and strated playing the flute. do you think i can ever get that good?

  • @RandomBlonde1 I think you can. The more you stick with it and practice, and the more knowledgable you are about how to make music on what instrument you choose the better you will be sooner in general.

Eventually your brain changes the more often you play or do any repetitive task, so if you stick with it I think things will go well.

  • @RandomBlonde1 With lots and lots of practice! I started playing the flute at around age 9 (I'm currently in high school), and I'm still not as good as her!

But she's obviously had years of experience - I say stick with it, and you will get good.

I'm thinking about learning the violin as well ... but I'm worried it'll be too late =P

  • @kipkayify I believe it's never too late to learn an instrument. But I wouldn't know. I'm only 12. :)

  • @JSJoyce1234567 Well, judging by your correct grammar and spelling and your optimistic outlook, you seem like an awesome 12 year old ^_^

  • @kipkayify Thanks, I believe that when you POST something online, you should use proper spelling and grammar.

  • Wow your amazing! im still 12 and im now learning how to play the flute;L

  • @nequillim No.

  • you're freaking awesome. how many years have you played?

  • @myrandalopezrocks A lot!

  • @ninaflute Specifically? hehehe <3

  • Esplêndido!!!!

  • Grandiosa XD

  • You shouldnt use too much vibrato in a baroque music...

  • @caiogflopes Is like you should use apostropho in "Shouldnt", and uppercase in Baroque. But who cares? :)

  • @julioreyram Hahaha, It is totally different, Sir!

  • @caiogflopes Ok ^^

  • with love and honor wow is very cool ^_^

  • หืมๆๆๆๆๆ

  • wow this is very amazing!!!

  • @marcy5533

Umm... why is called the Telemann Flute Fantasies then?

  • What a beautiful performance; you're an amazing musician.

  • Sometimes it feels like the breaths throw off the beat. Are those just strange rests?

  • This is fascinating! You are a great and kind and open teacher, thank you.

You have a modern training methods. It is very important now. Time is running fast.

  • This is great(:

  • how amazing!

  • OmG i play flute he sounds amazing

  • sounds so sweet

  • What kind of flute do you have?

  • i play flute and oboe. i think its just me but i think flute is the prettiest in sound. im not baggin on the other insrtruments butif u understand than ya. ive been playin flute for like 8 years and i really hope that i will become as good as that. great job. ill never give up my flute.

btw i love the vibrato it made it sound really nice.

  • I hope I'm this good when I am older.

  • her shaking around is rly creepy..............

  • wow this is amazing! I am a flautist but have only been playing for 6 years, i hope to be as good as you one day. Telemann is by far my favorite composer :)

  • I love this, I need to start practicing my flutie again!!!!

  • you look like my friend's clarinet teacher ;)

  • Beautiful. :)

Mexican hat dance at 2:28? XD

  • Are there any exercises I could do to increase the speed of my fingers while playing? I try to play this song but my fingers keep up. I'd really appreciate if you helped me out. thanks :D

  • very good

  • she is not bad but indeed not the best flute player (look for J.P.Rampall). she needs to controll the vibrato and her breathing is too loud. also her piano needs to be more precise.

  • It's amazing how you can inspire me and lower my self-esteem all at the same time.

  • c genial

  • Beautiful!

  • @ninaflute this is the most beautiful flute solo ive ever heard!

i have a request for you.. could you play a solo version of Aria from Bach? i play the first voice of quartet arrangement, but it doesnt sound thaaat good without other instruments.. do you think its possible to make an arrangement for flute/viola/violin solo? if so, id love to hear you play that!

  • is the flute easy to play?

  • @lizzierocks114 theres no easy or hard instrument, it depends on what you want to do with it. but if you refer to fingering, its one of the easiest blow instrument, cuz if you close all your fingers it makes a C, if you open one by one you get D E F G A B C, very linear, and change octave on the mouth. Blowing it is like blowing a glass bottle(beer bottle). the sharps and flat notes have extra keys for them, that makes scales out of C major or A minor a little different(like black keys on piano)

  • @lizzierocks114 nope itz one of the hardest for beginnners

  • waaao goo hoo manish naaaa.

  • Nina , you can NEVER imagine how you emotioned with this execution!

  • Perfecto.... hermoso.

  • i suck at playing the flute. How can I make it sound good its all airy and crap I have been playing for 5 years >.<

  • @XXtokieXX hahaha mee too. I've been okayed for like 5, 7 years? AND I SUCK.

  • @lidiaaxo

It gets better, don't worry! I have been playing for about 4,5 years and I sound very nice, not airy at all. You just have to find the right flute (I'm so happy my teacher knows wich flutes are good and wich aren't). Just practise on your mouth a bit more, keep looking in the mirror and just play some notes a few times untill you think it sounds great . You'll get better :D

  • @XXtokieXX Same here. Five years and it's still so airy and I can't even do vibrato. =.=

  • @XXtokieXX blow IN the flute, and turn the hole a little into your direction. that makes the note lower, so you have to close the pipe a little more to make it in pich again

it will sound smoother but it will be harder to play the low notes. also, depending on the music you will want a airy sound, then just turn it to the front again and blow some of the air out. airy sound is good for brasilian music like samba, chorinho, bossa nova. smooth is cool to play classic, and some jazz.

  • Just about perfect.

  • O M F G

  • i love her music

  • This is amazing. Wow, I wish I could play like that. -_-

I play the flute, and I love it! Though im just a freshman, and im marching. And it's hard for me, :(

  • great flauting, too bad i think concert flutes sound like crap. I am a fan of NAF flute and traditional flutes like bansuri

  • blbě se nadechla

  • why do ppl say she moves alot... obviously they haven't seen piano players and oboist... o.e haha

  • @bxinger its because some flautists are taught to be stiff as a brick

  • @bxinger i play while walking in my house.. i dont care about body position at all, and i sound good. sometimes i even play laying on my bed XD that makes breathing harder, but when im in the right position, then the long phrases become easy. (but i still cant play everything in one breath: she plays from 0:13 to 0:21 in one breath, i can get only to 0:19)

  • @ericoschmitt : That's ok. Just don't play like Sarah Palin and most of us will be happy. You can play upside down in a washroom cubicle too (like Ron Bergundy), - as long as whatever you might be looking up at inspires you.

  • @jazzflutist i dont mean I play upside down.. i mean i twist the mouthpiece 180 degrees and blow it with my upper lip touching the flute, and the lower giving direction to the air :P i can play 2 octaves like this haha

i showed this to the maestro of my orchestra where i play cello, he plays flute for about 30 years and he couldnt do that \o/

  • @ericoschmitt Might have to do a video of this to show us. Do you mean that you rotate the headjoint (flute body stays put) on the flute 180 towards (or away from) you so that the blowhole is now "underneath" (from the viewpoint of someone standing up normally looking at it)? If so, why not, as long as you can get a sound.

  • @jazzflutist yep, thats what i do haha

but i did this some times just for fun, it doesnt sounds as good and i cant blow high notes

there are tons of stuff i would like to record in many instruments, maybe i start playing an upside-down flute&cello version for bach's air :P i think i can blow that in this way

ill do it when i have time then

  • @jazzflutist anyone who can blow a flute with the emboucher hole underneath is an anatomical freak

  • @Blackgeoff1 : I just tried playing my flute with the hole upside down - and I almost got a reasonable sound. Problem is, I found myself running out of air and turning purple so had to quit. Another time maybe ....

  • @ericoschmitt I can play with the mouthpiece upside down too :) One day when my high school band was playing at a basketball game I declared it "play your flute upside down day" and we all played like that for most of the game. We probably sounded terrible, but it was so much fun! ahhhh, good memories :)

  • @alyssataubin more info, how do you play with the mouthpiece upside down, i'm interested :D

  • i'm horny

  • wow .

  • She's moves around so much because when you get into the music you just do - its expressive your whole body is an instrument and its part of putting emotion into the music. Lovely!

  • Why does she move around so much while playing? I know it is for expression, but doesn't it affect the intonation a great deal?

  • this is really good i mean im a flute player and i cant play like that

  • That is amazing.

  • maybe she juz nids a little bit of phrasing .__.

  • That's amazing. I play the flute and my name is Nina too, so it's kinda funny. Your really good!

  • I've just picked up the flute after nearly 30 years without playing and have started taking lessons again. I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Just wanted to say - beautiful! You're an inspiration. Thank you.

  • cool

  • i almost just started 5th grade and we got to try the instruments and i liked the flute im going to play it in band =)

  • Nice work! I always felt Telemann was such an underrated composer.

  • Nina you are simply wonderful !!!

I appreciate strongly your viedo and performances.

I would really to know who are the idiots that clicked over "not like" ... How could not like this fascinating Woman that's playing wonderfully flute and a virtuisist piece as the one here of Telemann!

If it's not your type of music: leave the site but don't click on "not like". Respect who is working!

  • Simply Maaaaaaahvelous!

  • me he enamorado (L)... me entra nostalgia de cuando tocaba la flauta, quiero volver a tocarla, le dedicare tiempo y si veo que sigo adelante volvere a dar clases

  • DAYUM! DAT GURL NINA BE STRAIT UP WID IT!

  • Love Telemann! I'm sure he'd be proud. Out of curiosity, do you have a preference to the metal of a flute? I'm writing a paper on different opinions of different artists to see if it makes a difference.

  • Love Telemann! I'm sure he'd be proud. Out of curiosity, do you have a preference to the metal of a flute? I'm writing a paper on different opinions of different artists to see if it makes a difference.

  • She is so talented!!! And this is my favorite song by Telemann!! So awesome!

  • You remind me so much of my friend Shannon. She was my section leader, but whenever she would play, she would move with the music. Half the time she just looked like she was dancing haha.

But you are absolutely amazing!! If I am ever able to play as well as you, it will be a true blessing. <3

  • Omigosh, where can I get the sheet music for this?!

  • Leider voll daneben. Diese Blechflöte gab es zu Telemanns Zeiten glücklicherweise noch nicht. Das ist so, als wenn jemand Liszt auf einem Cembalo spielen würde. Hören Sie sich das mal von Herrn Hünteler gespielt an!

  • Can any body the following Youtube link and tell which movie flute music that youtube.com/watch?v=ghgCK59qJ8k

  • oh wow ur AMAISING!!! i want to play the flute like u someday! but 4 now i can only hope <3

  • THUMBS UP if you also love how she gets into the music and think this is amazing

  • @nikkiikkin0 I find it hard to play the flute and not dance with it

  • @nikkiikkin0 anyone who watches this and has a brain will think this is amazing. why do you need so much a whole bunch of thumbs up?

  • Great!!!!!What a musician!!!!!

  • jeez~

and I thought I was somewhat decent on the flute.

  • @cheezferret

I knoww. Me too. I thought i was doing pretty good. But, i guess not. ;D

I gotta work more on it.

  • AMAZING!!

  • Your amazing..I wish I could sound like you some day.Your my flute inspiration.

  • I don't realy like your vibrato but that's nice =]

  • Wow ...wonderful tone and projectio great balance ...perhaps a little more shading within the phrases rather than the more classical echo type ..but a small point.

  • Could I have the notes 2 that?

  • om my you play amazingly! ciao dall'italia!

  • THAT SONG IS LONG

  • bravo!

  • me too.. ima a flutist..

  • @TheRayRayCruz ...Seriously? "sinphonic?" i don't even know what to say to you. If anyone here is awful, it's you. Not because you're in symphonic, but because you fail to recognize the obvious talent and skill it takes to play as well as she does.

  • I bought a flute for my niece, she will be in summer band, and I had to see what a beautiful instrument it is. Wow, Nina, you are awesome!!!

  • is this hard for lets say level 3 fluter??

  • Truly beautiful!

  • what are the notes to this

  • wow i play the flute in middle school band your fricken good

  • What kind of flute do you have??

  • i play the flut etoo and this is amzing! my idol as well!!;)

  • you rock who ever you are????

  • I've played flute for about 19 years, and this piece is a marvelous piece to play. Her tone and her articulation is perfection. She gets a bit flat in various areas, but overall her performance is golden. Beautifully played!

  • There was definitely a reason why Telemann was more respected than Bach when they were alive.

  • what the fuck is she doing lol

  • i love this!! i play flute myself!! i definately want to play like this when i get older!

  • @Sweetie1470 im currently learning to play another fantasie no3 of 12 this one is no 2, all are v, hard to play!!! but im sure youll do fine :D

  • Très bon son de la flûte sans air qui passe et tout... Mais j'aime pas trop la zik =/

    Don't like the music =/

But you're really good, your flute is beautiful. Good job, Nina ;-)

  • I definitely feel like I'm falling down stairs. 1:49 Such a beautiful job, so the first day I pick up a flute, I will aspire to play with this type of passion.

  • hi Nina,

maybe you would like this Piccolo player.

just write the word FREAKOLLO, and you would get to a piccolo concerto and enjoy :)

  • i too am a flue player im pretty good but sound tone death against you cause ive only played for two years

  • Well Done Nina. Thank-you.

  • i'm obsessed with the flute, i play it 1-2 hours a day, and you are definitely an idol for me! thanks! :)

  • excelent performance,but, wrong flute

  • @pimperlpom wrong flute? maybe she wasn't watching when she picked it up and didn't notice until it was too late?

  • tone*

  • Wow just listening to it I can feel that perfect gone running through the flute and how good it feels. Anyone who plays flute knows what I'm talking about. You are quite talented and it was quite worth my while to listen to you.

  • Great sound! However, it'd be an great improvment to not make your breathing so noticeable.:)

  • FANTASTIC !! amazing sound :)

I´m a plute player too, hope I will be as good as you :)

btw. Do u have sheet for this?

  • I've just started learning how to play the flute and the ocarina.. Inspiring stuff.. i am going to upgrade to the silver flute eventually...

  • すばらしいですね・・・私も部活でやっているのでいずれはこんな風に演奏してみたいです・・・!

  • What a lovely sound! Thanks for sharing =]
