I didn't try the game , but from what I heard, the game is too short(5 hours to finish it in solo) and the IA is very stupid.however, the game has good graphics and nice story. I advize it to you but in lower prices :)

Does anyone else realize that the fact that the rest of the US military is in San Francisco... and the Koreans haven't taken over it even though it's taken over other parts of the US, make any sense at all in this game? I mean regarding distance, and strategic locations, you think that it might've been one of the few spots that the Koreans would assault and secure first.

Actually, It was said that the US soldiers were scattered and communications to other units further away were cut off (EMP blast, US satellite destroyed, replaced with Korean one). The US soldiers have harder time getting resources they need to fight back due to that.

@Axlkill the koreans did take san fran first but the US military is gathering around sanfran which if the attack succeeds it cut off all korean forces in the midwest which paves the way for a massive US assualt from the eastern US the koreans only took everything west of Mississippi. so yeah the koreans would be surrounded and cut off from reinforcements because the US will control san fran if the nks try to land reinforcements so it was a good plan

@Axlkill Well, It starts in Colorado... Most defenses and resistance's were in Colorado.. If you think about it, any foreign military that is strategic would most likely run for Washington D.C the command of Operations.. but In this case the Korean's find themselves caught up into a war between them and the resistance. The U.S. Military need's Oil to fight back against the Korean patrol.. but wasn't given until mission 6, Therefore the war has just begun between the 2 strong force's.

@Axlkill The U.S. Military is isolated and scattered yes, but keep in mind, it has been a year or more that the Korean forces have been occupying the United States. So if I had to guess, the isolated and scattered U.S. Military was regrouping and planning for their assault on San Fransisco, since taking a major city on the West Coast would deal a massive blow for the occupying forces...

But what happens next will probably be revealed in Homefront 2... if they ever make that game.

The Koreans used the Mississippi River as a way to separate the United States after the EMP attack (They basically dumped chemical and radioactive materials into the river using sleeper agents already in the U.S. before the invasion). So in the game, everything East of the Mississippi R. is unoccupied, but it's never explained if there are U.S. military units on that side launching a campaign against the Koreans or not.

@FlameDeath2 But that's the problem. In the game (the "future") There is essentially no economy for America. The history intro explains the U.S. Dollar collapse's and the economy becomes ten times worse than today. That, topped of with the "Saudi-Aribia and Iran at War," burning off most of the worlds Oil, means that America is basically a 3rd world country, while Korea's economy booms.

@Axlkill The Koreans know that they can't "hold" America, and they don't plan on it. They just want the natural resources and planned on moving on after they exausted all that America could offer. Given that the devs. described that as the GKR's reasons for invading, I personally don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that the Koreans simply intended to hold the American forces, while concuring what they could.

Really. They said at the bigining that they scattered the military, occupied the entire west and midwest, and isolated the east from the rest of the country. Now the whole military has gathered at san fran when we never saw or heard about them before and somehow put the city under siege, which is apparently the only city left occupied on the mainland. If the story made a little more sense it would have been better.

@Jenrama they are all newspaper clippings and about 60 of them. It's sad though that it's how they tell that story instead of working it into the campaign. I'm really enjoying the game so far but that was a big missed opportunity. Either way i have a feeling that this isn't going to be the only "homefront" game...
