  • Thanks man. I'm a young guy, not very handy yet, but looking to get better around the house. I like watching your videos because they're helpful for people at all stages of learning. Don't listen to the people that talk bad about your videos. They're very helpful. As a suggestion, you should do some videos relating to cars, thanks!

  • I have tried plunging, baking soda and vinegar, boiling water, earthworm and draino-gel. Nothing seems to be working in my sink. I can't afford a plumber and my landlord has been promising to come take a look at it for the past three days. Is there anything else I can try?

  • @Yomalex3 Try using a snake...

  • @Mistermax30 Thank you, I wound up taking the drain apart, cleaning the trap and using a snake on the part of the pipe that goes in the wall. It still was running slow so that is when I tried soapy boiling water (a plumber once told me it's mainly grease when plunging and drain-o don't work) and plunging. The clog is now gone and my sink runs BETTER than when I moved in. As soon as I was done cleaning up my landlord came to "fix" it. I deducted my time and labor from the rent that month!

  • @Yomalex3 Thats great to hear. I have a couple of nasty clogs in my kitchen sink that I hope I can unclog. My garbage disposal croaked so I'm getting zero help! If nothing works I hope I can snake out the clog. Its always good to get one up on the landlord...

  • @Mistermax30 Yeah, I was happy to give him the short end of the stick for being irresponsible. He made me wait a week! I don't eat junk food or fast food, I rely on my own cooking or if I do go out it has to be a place where I can get a healthy choice menu. It got so expensive and annoying I couldn't wait any longer! Try the boiling water with dawn if it's your kitchen sink, that's what worked for me but it took a few hours of boiling soapy water and plunging to get it clear.

  • wheres the tub?

  • balloon bladder is first choice, other than roots in the line it clears 100% of anything else causing the clog

  • It is very nice of you to go through all this trouble just to show us multiple ways to uncloggin a drain. My mom and I were familiar with every one of your tips (Always good to know that your practices are validated by others). Mom just now finished working on the kitchen sink. After an hour she finally took apart the pipes and cleaned all this yucky gunk out. I think it did the trick. I hope.

    Have a nice day!

  • Very clear instructions. Thanks! I have a clogged kitchen sink that is also linked with my neighbour's (we're in a duplex). So tomorrow I'll buy a snake and try.

  • Thank you for this video. It saved me money for a plumber visit.

  • great videos thanks

  • Thank you - very informative and will be a big help to me!

  • dude i freakin love you!!! today my mom clogged the kitchen sink and decided to pour chemicals into it so the clog would go away and the stuff just stayed, the fumes were horrible! so i saw your advice on the plunging how one person had to block the other side and... IT WORKED! the clog is gone... if this comment makes no sense, its because i spent 45 min breathing in the chemicals :)

  • you are a dumbass! drano has acid in it that will melt plastic and corrode metel! It MIGHT clean out your clog but 9 times out of 10 your damn pipes will begin to leak! fucking moron!

  • @kramer0312 agreed!

  • Fantastic information! Thank you!

  • @man4commonsense. Not everybody is a paragon of intellect like you, genius. Senseless ridicule is about as useful as your insignificant rant. You must've been high and mad at the world when you watched this video. Go chase the mailman or a cat why dontchya.

  • @Cerebralcinema - thanks for your comment of support, I think man4commonsense was a bit off that day.

  • @man4commonsense - it is common sense - I ALWAYS check that first - a lot of people don't think to check for hair and other crude clogging the drain (or just don't have the stomach for it).

  • Thanks! I just unclogged the bathroom sink. My nephew had stuffed tp down the drain. I was out of ideas when Drano didn't work. I had to remove the pipe at the bottom. I found a die and floss along with the toilet paper. I also took away from this video how to replace the stopper and prevent major debris from clogging the brain. Mad reps!

  • Excellent video. It gave me the motivation to clear my own after putting up with it for about a year of slow draining water. I had to resort to the drain snake in the end there was just to much gunk. My kitchen sink went from about 15-20 min to drain to about 30 seconds.

  • Thanks for covering all the different aspects. I'm surprised you'd try the Drano before some of the latter steps such as plunging, given that Drano's kinda toxic. Or were you showing Drano early on (on the tub) to use if the stopper obstructs being able to use a plunger?

  • Great information. Thanks allot for your information. It helped me clear my sink.

  • @greathelp1 dipshit

  • Thanks. Good information.

  • you're awesome and keep up the good work. thanks for sharing!
