You forgot to say something about the Virtual Machine Additions at the End of the Installation Process. After installing them you can use your Mouse inside and out of the VM without using the Alt Button.
video was very helpful, I never had this before, first time. I have win 7 and I put win98 on it, but can I also put win xp on this virtual machine. I mean what I am asking is can you put more than one OS on the virtual machine. Thank you.
@blade75964 of course, i know im a random reply :D, the purpose of the virtual pc 2007 is to have 2 or more operating systems, if you have windows 98 delete the explorer.exe file, nothing will happen but your windows 98 will not function anymore, it wont affect your windows 7
@askthecomputercoach Well im not ssure exactly why its not working. It couild b a numbver of things. But it will say that another software to try is VMplayer. Its an alternative to that and i use that as well. Try it you might like it. im sorry I couldnt come up with a better answer but there is so many varieables to this. Here is the link. its a free download. Good luck! thanks for coming by. Look at cnet or downwloadsdotcom for vmplayer or go to vmwaredotcom
hey coach...i finished installing the virtual pc and a ms sever 2003....now its asking me to ctrl+alt+del to start the virtual os...and while i do it...its locking the original vista os....and my cursor is in the virtual m/c//// please guide
@niravdoshidotcom press the right ALT key to release the cursor from the Virtual PC window. I would use Windows 7 and XP Mode for virtual machines. What are you trying to accomplish with Virtual PC and Windows server 2003?
Ok--I havent installed it on Xp but as I read it looks as if it does. As i look on microsofts download site it lists XP as being able to work work with Vritual PC 2007. XP is listed. Give it a shot--it cant hurt. Thanks for coming by.
Couch, one questions. Thank you, first of all, very helpful. You went too fast at the beginning. When you have installed VPC and you are ready to install your first OS (i.e. XP Prof), you click on: NEW / Welcome to New Machine Wizard / NEXT / Options:
You have 3 options here
a. Create a Virtual Machine
b. Use default settings to create a virtual machine
c. add and existing virtual machine.
I thought of understand the first one... but not clear how or why you would use "b" or "c"? Can you help?
What a mess!... I was under the impression one could EDIT your own posts?... If I can, the hid the option well.
I MEANT TO SAY "I sort of understand option "a." Creating a Virtual PC... but then it gets confusing. But anyway i will wait for your response to this question first.
