Pesci doesn't voice "Pesto", but it's a takeoff of Pesci's character Tommy Simone in "Goodfellas". I think it's a credit to Joe's versatility that he can play mob roles like Tommy, and the Vegas hood in Casino, and also give us laughs in "Home Alone" and "My Cousin Vinny".

Actually it's a combo of the godtather and goodfellas movies. If I'm not mistaken, Pesto is Joe Pesci's character in goodfellas, who was an easily provoked hothead. The first time I saw goodfellas, it sure gave me the willies at how easily DeNiro and Pesci's characters wacked anyone that "ruffled their feathers".
