I worked closely with Miss Universe Japan the year Riyo was elected the winner and you are so full of crap. Riyo Mori had a nose job the year she won but she has no other work done. Riyo is from Shizuoka, Japan. Women in that area of the country are blessed with curvier bodies than their Tokyo counterparts. The only procedure she had done was rhinoplasty, which in my opinion, she didn't even need. Riyo Mori had the best catwalk and wardrobe. Plus, Toyota has no sponsorship with MU.

I assume that a miss universe is not just have a beutiful face, but it also depends on many others factors. But you have to admit that that final night, Mori performed attractively on stage and as we say, "without any mistakes - flawless". And in the final question, she answerd the question well too. And she deserved with this tiltle.
And the way she showed her emotions when she was declared to be MU 2007 is gentle and nice too. If you watch the video clip when Zuleyka Rivera was announced to be MU 2006. She looked so ugly and not nice. Her face looked so wrinkled.
Miss Univesre Competition is a contest for Latin girls in orgin. Because the person who decided who will be crowned as MU is Donald Trumps, who usually likes the Latin beauty, not Asia, Africa or Eurpean beauty.

actually, she did not hide anything. her whole reign as Miss Universe Japan was exposed by Ines Ligron as it happened. Everyone knows she had a nose job. That is the only surgery she had. Aside from that, she is natural. And Riyo Mori is not even Japan's perception of beauty because she is not cutesy like the girls described in your screen name.

@tattooliew apparently, they do. i'm not saying that riyo had surgeries (because i am not sure). but if you have access to technology, why not use it? technology is meant to make things advantageous. while i prefer the natural look, let technology be used if you have access to it. i don't see anything wrong with that. and i think riyo deserves the crown: her catwalk was amazing, her presence was impressive, how she carried her gown is elegant, and her final answer is excellent enough.

Who ever said Miss Universe was specifically about beauty.... If it was just about beauty, good lord this world would be messed up by now. It's about intelligence, setting a good example, wanting to help people, etc, AS WELL as beauty. But not just outer beauty, inner beauty as well. You know there are some really beautiful people out there that aren't really "beautiful" on the inside, so to speak.

I assume that a miss universe is not just have a beutiful face, but it also depends on many others factors. But you have to admit that that final night, Mori performed attractively on stage and as we say, "without any mistakes - flawless". And in the final question, she answerd the question well too. And she deserved with this tiltle.

And the way she showed her emotions when she was declared to be MU 2007 is gentle and nice too. If you watch the video clip when Zuleyka Rivera was announced to be MU 2006. She looked so ugly and not nice. Her face looked so wrinkled.
Miss Univesre Competition is a contest for Latin girls in orgin. Because the person who decided who will be crowned as MU is Donald Trumps, who usually likes the Latin beauty, not Asia, Africa or Eurpean beauty.

Currently, MU is just the second ( Behind Miss World Contest) with just about 1 billions viewers, while Miss World has 2 billions. MU contestants are about 80, but Miss World currenly has over 100 contestants.
Because many other country assume that MU COMPETION is just the contest of American, not for every girl in the world.
