What did you use for the characters? A Sprite sheet? Or does Torque X allow you to import regular images with an alpha channel as frames of animation?
@TheAssailant6661 It's a sprite sheet. In the Torque editor, you specify the grid size and you can then click on each frame of the grid. There are batch files and scripts out there that can assemble individual images into a sprite sheet.
Looks promising. Please continue to make this. The Indie Games channel seriously needs good looking platformers akin to classics like Castlevania & Shinobi. This looks very good!
Everything is done within the Torque XNA environment, so it's using all of the Torque XNA functions, etc. Very little was changed other than the art from their 2d platformer start kit.
So with Torque XNA you can make games for the Indie Games service and sell them there? Is it compatible with XNA 3.1? Thanks for your time. Good luck with your game, looks great!
@nrXic yes torque X is compatible with XNA 3.1 HOWEVER as far as i know you cannot put a game made with torque on indie games... you can distribute them on other services (such as the iphone app store) BUT you need to buy a (rather expensive) licence from torque
Good game =)

hey do you know how to make it so that it's able to load a new level? (like successfully loading a new .txscene file?)

Are you using the 2d Torque X as an engine for all your gameplay or just using a few features and doing the rest in xna?
I've not looked at Torque much to be honest, so forgive me if i just got it all wrong
