Yes i have researched it. A slightly de-tuned version of the Montana's engine is in the Alero and Grand Am. Yet, they sound different.

The 3500 rev limiter is at idle. If you sit in park and rev the engine like crazy, it will only go up to around there. This is to protect the torque converter. In drive when the converter is able to spin, the engine will go above 6k.

when the tires break free you can't go over 3500 as long as you have tracktion maybe even when you hit top speed the speedo is at 5500 i know my van so fuck off

to who ever said theres a 3500 reve limiter needs to watch to video again. the only vehicle that i think of that has one that low would be a ford and even then they cut off at 4 grand

i am pretty sure the van has a limiter at 3500 rpm when the tires break free... in the burn outs of the montana all the van will rev up too is 3500 besides that it cuts out at 4700 rpms

careful with that 3.4 every single one has the intake gasket problems. unless you do it yourself itll cost bout 500 bucks to fix. Once its fixed though you wont have that problem ever. they re did the gaskets and instead of plastic inserts the finally used metal. 3.4 are great engines. Trust i know this from experience

@SCOTTIEHOTTIE123 Chevy aint got nothing on Honda! I have had both, and the build quality of the Honda is worlds above the chevy, the interior, the windows, how the doors shut, the motor, everything. There is a reason why the Honda is rated by consumers so much higher than chevy. The one thing I will say about the chevy is that they have balls, but the motor just isnt up to par with the Honda. Man, if chevy would build vehicles as well as Honda, I would buy them. Honda has us plants too
