  • he's proli a marching band snare drummer no?

  • this guy trully is a great teacher. but i think the title is misleading. it should say "my drum teacher teaching me how NOT to play latin"

  • wow and thats a drum teachers? that seriously sounds like a student, his style is weak, Latin is a feeling, even if you can play the notes", it sounds like crap if you dont feel what you are playing.

  • i agree, you can tell with the drum line snare tricks. you know he began playing snare with all theory, instead of feel. you need chops to play latin grooves, its how you hit the drum, attack.

but i know nothing about this guy so... idk

solid double and quad strokes tho... lol

  • besides the fact im better than him.. incredibly

  • def not latin

  • weak

  • the only latin thing about this solo is the latino guy playing it

  • haha good one

  • hahaha.. yep.

  • Where's the latin groove???

And there's me looking for for some latin inspiration to learn from. Yes you can paly double strokes but latin it ain't.

    Sorry.

  • that's not latin

  • lay off the double stroke rolls...nothing latin about this...

  • wombosi i have to agree with you on this one, the guy has no feel at all, although he is good, he doesn't know how to put it all together to make it sound good

  • this is the world dum solo ever no feel how the fuck is it latin

  • duhhh...Latin rudiments?!? did i miss something here?!?

  • you guys, in latin drum there is no STABLISH GROOVE... theres always a different accent in the snare or any other drum or cymbal... thats really amazing

  • ok well latin music usually has some kinda of repeating patern like samba bass drum, or the cha cha bell. somthing like that. the left stick is does not really have to have a particular rythm to it. but its completely untrue to say that latin has no established rythm

  • ok wombosi, why a drummer works to get faster?? to show his speed... so, shut up your fuckin' mouth, surely this guy is better than you.

  • ok wombosi on beginning i agree you, but the rythm with the whole instrumental was fuckin' awesome...

  • dude, for chrissake. this guy's got zero feel whatsoever. can't stand drummers who can only show off their technique but have no damn feel or modulation. this guy's all over the place.

  • I agree, nice chops though,i kept waiting for him to really lock in and establish a groove, this is nothing more than a display of double stroke rolls and some fills.
