  • Just to add, the Roclite 288 is a fantastic long distance walking/running boot. Light, fast drying, somewhat waterproof and very comfortable. The Xtalon 240 is very similar in construction but has the Xtalon flexible sole and a tight heel for proper running.

I'm getting some of these Baregrip 200s next. I love Inov-8 and like to get as minimal as possible for the conditions. I tried some on and really liked the feel - I just need to pay for them next :)

  • Thanks, it's really beautiful.

  • This is an awesome video. Whereabouts was it taken? Like you, I love the new Bare Grip.

  • @pmfeldmann The video was taken on the Tebay side of the Howgills, its a great place to get out in the Bare Grips, very little rock, steep ascents/descents, soft ground, just perfect. Excellent MM training ground....

  • would you recommend these for back packing and week hikes as everyday use on the mountain? cheers

  • @UVSoaked

I don't think so, unless you were prepared to expect some uncomfort. I think the Barefoot is a very technical & aggresive shoe, designed for pure hardcore fell running. These are the shoes you want to be wearing when your flogging it round the Sedbergh Hills Race or something similar.

If your looking for an ultralite fell shoe, then have a look at the Roclite 288, or the Terroc 330, if your looking for a more aggressive grip, then the Mudclaw 330 might be more applicable.
