Hey guys...Settle down! This guy is just trying to show that he's proud in what he's doing. Jeez give him a break. Mr potter he may not be....Yet! But at least he's got the balls to post this on YT. Rememeber the song from little things, big things grow. We all improve over time. And go the Geelong city football club. Aussie rules football premiers 2012!! Go the cats!!!
@jondill Trust the community. That's not what most bonsai enthusiasts would like to see being done to their own bonsai - especially one that had such a nice thick trunk base with no unhealthy looking wood that needed to be carved into a jin.
20 years of experience???...This guys seems like a train wreck! If you want to see exceptional dead wood work on bonsai check out Graham Potter. Literally no comparison!
@bboyriot01 But no one became great in an instant. Granted his work is possibly not at G.P's level, but even Mr. Potter was never an instant master. He learned and became. At least this guy's got guts enough to post and be attacked.
This is the best bonsai carving demo I've come across. I like the arbortech mini chainsaw for grooves but looks like the ninja is more versatile. This vid really sold me on it and I'm going to order one.
I'm sure this poor Olive Tree died shortly after this buzz saw was done cutting it up to sawdust

Hey man trees have feelings, you know. It's just stupid to do this to a living thing.

try putting a lime and bleack treatment on the exposed wood. It will get a nice petrified look.

Yeah, it is the best tool my teacher (20 years of experience) ever used: olive tree´s wood is really tough!
It is made by Makita Co., check its website. It is about $140 plus the head in Europe.
Have fun!
