The Jones licks, can unstick them off my brain. The Richards solo, I don't think is the best thing of the song. I suspect the popularity of the song has much to do with the opening and ending of the tune, thanx to Jones. For the rest I prefer the original by the Valentinos.

I can remember playing a 45 (ask your dad about that one) of Not Fade Away flat so when you put the arm of the record player on the vinyl it just went straight to the other side without playing a note! The Stones have been a little over done the past twenty years or so for me but do yourself a favor and check out everything they ever did up to and including Exile On Main Street. You will not be disappointed. Good listening.

There was a guy who had a movie on Saturday mornings and he would feature local talent. Well, guess who? There's Mick and Brian (the heart of the Stones) and they blew me away. I was 11 and I told my Dad that they would be huge someday. He guffawed something like "they look like something that crawled out of the sewer" but I knew....
