  • Can I tell you? Yes. I am capable and able to tell you. Certainly. Will I tell you? NO. Being a professional, the only advice I can give you for keeping your hands safe is to NOT try to build this gun!!

  • So is that a yes or no? Sorry I sucked in English class but I just want to make sure my hands will be safe your a professional I'm not so I just want to do it the right way.

  • Can you send me the exact diameters/ inside & out and what type of tubing you used for both peices also how you modified the screw please & thank you I already have some tubing but it's 80 gauge carbon steel but it seems to be to thick is carbon ok?

  • @Arv956 I can, yes. Unfortunately, incorrect interrogatives and run-on sentences will not be tolerated.

  • thanks so much. what are the parts?

  • @libertyphoenix777 The parts are...well, the parts.

  • AOW?

  • badass

  • You missed the electrical outlets! Seriously- that's pretty neat. Kudos for even having the guts to try that thing out...

  • that is one of the smartest things to do i ever saw

  • does the barrel burn your hand at all? and great video, really smart idea, dont listen to the dickheads with nothing better to do but find something wrong with everything

  • @screamingeagle55 Nah, doesn't burn a bit. Thanks.

  • I shot one of these in the street in Honduras, my girlfriend's brother is a gang member and he had one at the house for those occasions that a machete was just not enough . it was 2am people were asleep and all of the houses are concrete there . The one I shot had a small handle on it . it looked like a cops baton when assembled

  • I certainly hope the British Parliament doesn't see your video, or they're liable to outlaw all water and gas pipe. This would cause a domino effect of cascading cold and wet Englishmen who smell of natural gas and who are extremely flammable.

And all because of your little YouTube video.

Mark, I hope you're happy now.

  • @cottersay I thought the English were always cold and wet anyway? At least when we get them here to Florida they warm up.

  • пыжами то можно стрелять ты бы пулей так же попробовал

  • @normal493 Okay, so the translation is: "pyzhami you can shoot a bullet would you just tried to". To that, my answer is: Probably?

  • @markserbu Ah, someone just told me that the translation is that I can shoot with just wads...try shooting a bullet. Well, as was discussed in the video this was a regular shotgun shell. It was a factory Winchester shell with #9 shot. I definitely would NOT like to shoot any sort of magnum shell through this thing!

  • I will be needing one of those come spring.... moving out to the unpopulated areas of my province here in Canada. Sure I can eat all the fiddleheads and berries I want, plus eat all the perch i want etc... But I need something better than a bow to hunt pheasant with.

That lil pop gun looks like just the poor man's fix I need thanks for the upload.

BTW the terrorists run your Govt. They aint Arabs either.

  • Should not be making guns if you don't know the terms...my grand father died that way....a dictionary killed him..

  • How long is that barrel? Wouldn't that be considered a short barreled shotgun under the NFA?

  • @762BR How about you read the description and tell ME what the NFA status is? Hint: it's not a short-barreled shotgun.

  • @markserbu AOW lol

  • Thank you for making this video and posting it. Guns are not free, but knowledge should be.

  • Could you tell me how was the cap screw modified please ? Also ahahah the impatient cameraman is a pretty fun guy

  • @Sandow42 I could tell you, yes. Thanks.

  • I remember watching a film about the US training Philipino resistance fighters military tactics and techniques. They showed how to use pipes as single shot zip guns for use against the japanese.

  • @morg52 I believe this weapon is called paliuntaud or something similar in the philipine islands? Fascinating campaign...

  • That's fucking awesome!

  • You are not right. That's why I love you, man.

  • thats fucking brilliant , i thought the end of the pipe would explode , how many rounds do u think could go through it before the barrel fractures ?

  • @TheSharpshooter2011 Number of rounds before the barrel fractures? I would guess somewhere around infinite.

  • @TheSharpshooter2011 As long as you use decent pipe, it'll last a long time. If you're concerned, look up spec sheets for the operating PSI of the pipe you're gonna use. A typical shell is around 11,000-13,000psi. Good luck!

  • @Pilotgeek Please, it's not PIPE, it's TUBING. There's no such thing as "decent pipe" when you're talking about building guns! It costs a few dollars to have the best quality, seamless, DOM 4130 tubing as opposed to crappy pipe. What are your hands worth?

  • best damn home weapons defense system for the price of a gyros burger WONDERFUL!

  • I honestly didn't think that would work.

  • sweet

  • I love your description of the parts used.

  • @C172Pilotdude Yeah, I really had to dumb it down.

  • @markserbu - that was mildly funny. thank you ....

  • @MickeyNineLives Glad I could help!

  • If you live in the United states .. why would you MAKE a Gun? can't you buy them everywhere? ..

  • @MickeyNineLives Well, I admit that in most areas of the country they're just everywhere! If they're not stacked like cord wood, they're just scattered all over the ground, floor, etc. A huge problem here in the U.S. is sprained ankles from tripping over guns! I would estimate the number of guns in the U.S. to be around 16 trillion. The only reason I make guns is because it's my job, I love it, and because I CAN!!

  • @markserbu What the hell are you talking about?

  • @crazywilly3333 It's called satire.

  • @MickeyNineLives Why waste $200 when you can make it for only $7 wtf lol

  • @MickeyNineLives $7 vs $hundreds. hmm. there's your answer if you're just bored or ona budget make a zip gun.

  • Laugh at the end... Hawhawhawhawhaw

  • I hate the fucking communist gun laws in the U.S. They're fucking useless. Any idiot can go to walmart and homedepot and pick up this shit for like 20 bucks total.

  • @TheTrueConservative lol yep, people THINK stricter gun laws would mean less gun crimes, but it doesnt work that way, as most of gun crimes are committed with illegally obtained firearms. Stricter laws are meaningless and only make it harder to protect yourself.

  • would you recommend this for home security?

  • @cfc106 Absolutely not.

  • @andrewgpayne3 How did you make sure you asked me one of the dumbest questions you could? Why on earth would the firing pin want to blow out? It's made from a SCREW. It's SCREWED into STEEL. It's very small in diameter (like any firing pin) so it has a very small surface area for the recoil forces to act on. The firing pin blowing out is about the least likely mode of failure for this gun. Next?

  • Comment removed

  • @ImSo517 First of all, I checked your page and it says that you're 21 years old. Please tell me you're really 11 years old, or that English is not your primary language. I say this because your written communication skills are appalling for someone your age who presumably grew up speaking English. If English is your second language, you really ARE 11, or you're retarded, please forgive me. Now all that aside, what you say is crap. Everything you say after "...was to blow" makes no sense.

  • It looks to me like you've got your hand over the end of the gun. I had to replay the moment where you fire off your boomstick to see how it was that you're not blasting a hole through your hand. :<

  • @BlueBerryWizard That's funny...I had another "developmentally challenged" person tell me the exact same thing!

  • doesn't the barrel get hot?

  • @jpjdo1212 Yes. Just like any other "thing" that's exposed to the product gases of an EXPLOSION!

  • Wow!!!

  • I have made cannons out of tubing, this stuff is very thick and heavy stuff, 3 teaspoons of black powder in a .5 inch (50 caliber) pipe didn't faze it, I assure you it was WAY louder and shot WAY harder than a 12 gauge shell.

  • @ScreamingOfTheAnts Because all serious firearms enthusiasts measure there powder charges in teaspoons.

  • hawhawhawhawhawhawhawhawhawhawhawh

  • cool

  • Awesome

  • hilariously kool

  • Best home defense weapon. If shooting them doesn't work you've got a nice metal pipe short enough to beat them down in close quarters. Awesome! I've made several different calibers, non are very accurate due to the lack of rifling but their fun to shoot! :-)

  • Filipino guerillas made these to deal with Jap occupiers in WW2.

    BLAM !

1 down AND you get an Arisaka with a bayonet. Do a non-com or an officer and get a Nambu and a katana.

    NEXT !

  • why do real shotguns use special alloyed barrels? for safety.

whats the psi for that tubing? Couldn't it rupture?

  • @Ibringthetruth1 This gun actually has features in its simple barrel that make it less likely to rupture than "real" shotguns' "special alloyed barrels", whatever that is. I've disclosed the material type somewhere in here and I think there's a discussion of hoop stress around, too. The pressure values for 12-gauge shells can be found on the internet, so there's definitely enough information around for YOU to tell ME if it'll rupture.

  • @markserbu

    alloy = chrome molly. leverguns . com/articles/saami_pressures.htm

quarry.nildram .co .uk/ballistics . htm Typical chamber pressures for shotguns are 75-90 MPa (11,000-13,000 psi)

  • @Ibringthetruth1 Oh, chrome moly (not Molly, that's a girl's name)? You mean, the stuff this gun is MADE OF? Yeah, I'm somewhat familiar with that material. Okay, you can look up chamber pressures, why don't you look up "hoop stress" and maybe find the tensile strength for normalized 4130 DOM tubing and tell me if this barrel will burst? I'll give you a hint....it's EXTREMELY unlikely.

  • @markserbu IF the pressure was so great as to rupture the pipe and based on the steel the pipe is made from, the weakness in the design is the firing mechanism. As you still have your hand after firing, I would say that the pipe is strong enough.

  • hohohohoho

  • Cool video I salute you for making a awesome. 50bmg don't have the cash for one yet but ill buy one probably the next rifle ill get keep up the good work!!!!

  • @fpssilentfox Thanks!

  • can you tell me EXACTLY how to make this and what materials i'll need???

  • @SOCALbOY760 Yes, I sure can.

  • @SOCALbOY760

Hey mate if you cannot figure out how to make it purely by watching the vid i suggest that you forget about making it at all :)

    Nice vid!

  • now add a fore grip :)

  • From where i am from, zip shotguns are used in gang wars and robberies in urban areas and could be made for less than 5 US dollars (200+ Philippine Peso) and that would include the 12 gauge 00 buck shell (it is sold at around 25 to 35 pesos each). It is called "Sumpak" in Tagalog and Luthang to Visayan speaking Filipinos. Barrel length would be around 2 and a half feet long and when empty (sans the shell and firing mechanism) makes a perfect impact weapon.

  • mark please reply. can u like make the barrel smaller and the mechanism smaller for smaller bullet like 22 38. and that kind of bullets?

  • @GamingProductions360 Of course! This "mechanism" (I put that in quotes because it's 3 parts...hardly a "mechanism") could be used for a lot of different calibers. Since it's an unlocked breech, though, it's generally only suited to low pressure rounds. .22 would be easy and .38 would probably work, too. Even some rifle calibers would work if the mass of the slide was increased.

  • mark you the man!!!! sweet shotty bro!!!

  • @n1663r The barrel of ANY gun will heat up, just depends on how much ammo you put through it. One single 12-gauge shell won't raise the temperature much at all.

  • cool vid.....ive never had a zip gun and probably never will but does the barrel heat up? i mean it obviously doesn't burn the hand.

  • What do I need to make it?

  • @darthvader379 First I'd read through the entire description of this video. Then I'd read every comment I've posted here in response to all the other inane questions. Then I'd add a good dose of ambition, some self-sufficiency and a bit of discipline. Guys, this gun is EXTREMELY simple to build. If you have to ask how to build it in spite of all the information that's here, then you're probably too lazy or too stupid to do it. To me, either is a good "barrier to entry" for building one.

  • i would of laugh my ass off if you guys hit any of those extension cords

  • Grip of damn steel!

  • Could you please post the schematics for the gun!

    PLEASE!!

  • @TheDzhoel Yes, I certainly *could*.

  • @markserbu well...could you? (please!)

  • @TheDzhoel Yes, I certainly could. Definitely. Sure could. No problems whatsoever with my ability to do it.

  • @markserbu I see what you did there.

  • @Cds56 Yeah, I guess if you hadn't we'd have to call it an "audio" instead of a "video".

  • press 3 for indian noise

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!! Looks dangerous though lol

  • yes but is he Asian?

  • This is called a "Four Winds".Supposedly cause it could be used and quickly disassembled and scattered to the four winds.Similar though usually smaller caliber items like this have been used as improvised land mines. Buried with the bullet tip exposed. This is why the U.S. will never be defeated by a foreign enemy. Not only do we have an insane amount of firepower in private hands but even the smallest town has the machine tools and resources to build thousands more.

  • Neat!

  • hohohohohohohohoho

  • i love all the " zip gun" videos!!!!

  • This is the reason gun control will never work. It's way too easy too make something that can shoot, and way too hard to erase how simple it is to make them.

  • @CitrusLizard Sure, but that thing will not be easy to conceal and the reason why it would "never work" is because ammunition is also easy to obtain.

  • this is what the young gangbangers used in the philippines,,

idk if they still do today\

im pretty sure they got better guns now lol

  • 0:43 spongebob character?

  • come onthis isnt that hard to make just a tube and a bigger tube with a screw inside. but still nice job

  • ive something very similar in Death Wish 3.

  • Looks like a kill stick to me, they are mostly used for hunting gators. Theoretically speaking? If these homemade guns were to actually catch on here in the U.S.A. It would take alot of business away from your local gunshop. Anyone can fill out an application with the ATF, and make and register one of these homemade protection devices. Maybe that's why there are alot of negative comments on this subject. Taking the monopoly away from the corporate control of personal protection.

  • @HfHumanHfRobot Doubt it. The BATF paperwork on these takes MONTHS to process. And this is anything but a practical, safe gun!

  • BTW I'd expect a visit from BATFE any day now. Hope you like Prison Orange!

  • @MFE92 Uhhhhh....guess you didn't read the description, eh? This gun is perfectly legal, and you're perfectly ignorant.

  • @markserbu actually, it's illegal to possess a shotgun with a barrel length shorter than 18 inches (46 cm) or an overall length shorter than 26 inches (66 cm), without a tax-stamped permit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, requiring a background check and either a $200 or $5 tax for every transfer, depending upon the specific manufacturing circumstances of the particular sawed-off modern shotgun being transferred. so this gun is actually illegal

  • @hilers72652 I guess you missed the discussion of this in the description. And somewhere in these comments I talked about how we registered this gun on a BATF Form 2 (which requires no tax stamp, by the way). So this gun is actually LEGAL.

  • @markserbu okay, i didn't read all 200+ comments so i didn't catch the form2 part (i also almost never hear of anyone that's used one). if you don't mind me asking, which piece is numbered?

  • @hilers72652 We engraved our information on the "receiver", which is the part that's not the barrel of this 2-part gun.

  • i would put a ring at the end so my hand wouldnt slip off and get shot

  • @ZachHwee Certainly not a bad idea....

  • @markserbu Thanks, spent alot of time thinking about weapons lol

  • @markserbu plus with the ring you could handle much more recoil. so a bigger or better round perhaps, and with a little extension on the pipe you could increase the range or tighten the pattern pretty well. we should discuss some of this lol

  • @ZachHwee Don't get carried away...it's just a zip gun.

  • can you make a tutorial vid on how to make it?

  • @chrisgonzo9 Yeah, I'd actually like to do that one of these days. I'm a bit torn on the subject because as much as I'd like to pass on the knowledge to possibly help the hopelessly screwed and downtrodden around the world get a tool to change their destiny, it'll probably be mostly be used by punks who just want to cause mayhem, vandalize and otherwise destroy shit.

  • wow, nice, dead simple.

  • "Yes Ok, I'm getting bored, praise Allah...Bladalabaladala!" That cameraman cracks me up!

  • 0:45 funny laugh

  • JESUS CHRIST!!!

  • well shit.

  • that is fuking AWESOME !!!

  • is it possible to make a pen gun using black powder and use a small portion of the bb's inside

  • lol, ultimate zip gun, up yours 22, 12 gauge just took over.

  • the camera man has serious ADHD

  • @IceTrey98c Yes I do! Somehow I'm still functional, though...

  • hunt some bears with that shit

  • @SplashOfRandom WHY? Have you ever seen the video called "Troy Gentry hunts tame bear" Are you Troy Gentry?

  • how much recoil would there be with a normal round

  • @sikniz213 More.

  • 0:45 ho ho ho ho ho ho

  • that was pretty fuckin badass

  • take that liberal gun laws im goin to home depot to beat the system

  • Lol that is all going to end in tears... I liked XD

  • That was sketchy as fuck but good work!

  • @pumpotheclown Thanks. I guess.

  • so if its that easy to make a firearm then why the fuck have you got to have a licence?

  • @FuZZioNzZGaming You don't need a license to make a firearm, unless it's an NFA firearm. This is discussed in the description.

  • How come there's not much recoil?

  • @DX7Alex Because it was a Winchester Low Noise Low Recoil shell.

  • @markserbu Thanks.

  • This is one of the fucking coolest vids on YouTube.

  • And he is from texas... how could i not know?

  • TUTORIAL PLZ! :) SUBSCRIBED.

  • Just because this man is vague answering i can aswer for him...the end of the outside tube need to have a firing pin (In this case a bolt i think) with the end shaped like a cone with a FLAT tip (Not sharpened...remember FLAT) about 1mm diameter that hits the cap right in the center of the shell.....

  • @PowerMirai85 I wouldn't say "FLAT". All good firing pins have a full spherical radius. A flat tip will present a sharp ring to the primer and while probably not as likely to cause a pierced primer as a sharp firing pin, it's much more likely than with a proper firing pin.

  • @markserbu what about about some balled tungsten from a TIG torch?

  • @walmartian Probably too brittle. Plus, how are you going to affix it to the other parts? Look, it's really easy to work the end of the screw to the proper shape. You spin it up in a hand drill and shape the end with a Dremel tool, file, grinder, etc.

  • @markserbu yeah true but working of a spherical pin is much more complicate than a simple flat one, u need to sand it out (A lot if it's hard metal) instead of simply make a flat pin maybe sanding it a bit on borders just to eliminate sharp edges... Don't think using it by hand without an hard spring and heavy bolt can cause primer piercing...anyway a spherical one would be safer as you said...

  • @PowerMirai85 Making a spherical tipped firing pin on the end of a cap screw (like we did here) is about the same amount of work as making a flat one. Like I said, you stick the cap screw in a hand drill and spin it around against a grinder, Dremel tool, etc. To make the tip spherical you just move the drill so that the tip sweeps across the abrasive surface in an arc. Simple!

  • Awsome...Really kool :D

  • i made one of these ghetto shotguns and i went on vacation and left my brother (hes 18) home alone and someone broke into the house so he used it to fire a warning shot and he shot a fucking hole in my ceiling with it... i bought a rem. 870 after he did that and told him no more warning shots..

  • @bloomile That's what you get for not teaching your brother there's no such thing as a "warning shot".

He should've known long before 18, as part of basic gun safety, that a "warning shot" is a shot that can hit any number of things besides your attacker / home invader. If you're not in danger, you don't shoot, and if are, you shoot him and not the floor/ceiling/air.

  • this will leave the investigators puzzled

  • how long is the barrel and how long is the round.

  • i thought you need to have a shotgun butt up against your shoulder or it will fly out of your hand...

  • @2ChillPillz Obviously not, eh? Unless the thing flew out of his hand and we somehow missed it...

  • @2ChillPillz People always have over hyped the kick of a shotgun. Its really not bad.

  • @STL308

I'd say the primary factor is what kind of round your shooting, a slug has way more punch than bird shot.

  • The guy who is recording the video is annoying. That a neat zip gun!

  • I agree

  • lol :45
