I did have a few hiccups, and I didn't do any cutting. I set FCP for HDV 1080i60, and I had to restart each clip due to errors. I posted the entire clip here, so I didn't do any editing at all--just exported from the timeline to QT, then to Compressor. I haven't done any cutting yet as I'm doing a bunch of projects shot in good ol' 60i DV, but I will post any comments or, hopefully, successful edited 24p HDV footage.
did you not have any trouble importing/editing/exporting the 24p footage in fcp5? I keep reading about the headaches from the pulldown removal and all that. all you did was capture with hdv 1080/60i and just editing like normal and exported h.264?
How did you import hv30 into final cut pro? My final cut wont read it ...

I have the Hv30 too, but I find that the autofocus on this camera is simply too slow. Great video by the way.

Too slow? Have you ever seen autofocus on Sony? It's slow.

Nope, that's the stock lens, set at the widest angle.
