  • and trucks are lumbering beasts. a hello from Brazil

  • Absolutely brilliant video, talk about a trip down memory lane, loved all those old tipper lorries, even the old AEC I think it was with no door on, seemed to be working itself into the ground, poor thing.

Amazing film quality, even sounds. definite thumbs up from me,,, 5*****

  • bring back those memories....old british trucks where superb in malta. now are vanishing from our streets. its a shame....

  • Its funny how most if not all of these old trucks were probably sold off by British companies for virtually scrap value as they are considered useless and at the end of their working life yet here they are still hard at work earning a living many years later and no doubt many more years to come.

  • I think the answer is twofold. The combined efforts of the British and Maltese to defend their islands from invasion during WW II brought us closer together, and secondly, there wasn't really anywhere else in Europe where they drive on the left to source vehicles from.

  • One question!!!

Why do all the old vehicles seem to end up in MALTA?

I recall my old Dad saying the very same thing about the old cars, as to how all the old 1934 Ford 8s (model Y) ended up there too, years after they were ancient history at home, in the UK.

    Does anyone know the answer?

  • 2:45 Xiz-zikk? id-duluri man :P

  • Thanks for sharing this video Renownvidz. Plenty of AEC's hard at work - they where the best and still are - nothing sounds quite like those ladies!!

  • Glad you like it 'MaLTaWheels1'. Unfortunately, this is all that I have of Maltese lorries except for a tiny bit taken in 2003,

  • the atkinson border used to be my father unlce now that truck is resting in piece .that truck was the owner fis#rst busnies piiece :) no he hass a leylnd cruiser and a leyland daf Xd :) all with water bowsers

  • lol the atkinson border is othe uncle off my father now that truck i think is resitng in pice :(the owner has aa leyland crusier i think and a leyland daf ;)

  • Just compare these shots with the rubbish we have running our roads now, I wonder if any Iveco or Scania can survive 50 years on the road then another 10 in q qurry...

  • To be honest superhuan, I really can't remember. I seem to recall it being south, rather than north of Valletta. The owner didn't seem overly pleased to see us, lol.

  • Where was that bus wreck at 5.08? Is it the Naw scrapyard in Naxxar?

  • @superhuan No its definitly not the naw scrap yard an im guessing it could be at Zebbug opposite the Toyota show room were now there`s the petrol station and there are some wrecks behind it.

  • Excellent video mate , thanks for posting ! Shame these manufacturers are history now ! Amazing how the old lorries carry on with some of these loads !

  • Hope theres more -really great shooting -better than PMP i have to say..

  • More amazing stuff, those tippers in the quarry are something else-superb!

Thanks for taking the trouble to upload Renownvidz :-)
