I did some research... and the D3 has a frame rate of 9fps.... and the D300 has a frame rate of 6 FPS. Do the math and that turns out to be about 15 FPS. I mean, thats still really fast. And the difference of 15 to 16 FPS is nothing really.

Trust ME, a person who owns both cameras, and a person who CAN READ. The person who uploaded the video CLEARLY STATEd that the man in the video synced a D3 and a D200 instead of a D300. INDEED the D300 shoots 6fps, but with the battery grip (fitted with AA's or EN-EL4a), it does 8fps. The D200 shoots 5fps no matter what. second, the person who uploaded this video also that the the man in the video is shooting the D3 at 11fps, which is also possible with the crop sensor mode that the camera has.

I don't know what the reason behind this is. But I thought "maybe this guy would rather be shooting a machine gun..." With the introduction of digital photography, the frame rate doesn't amount to the dollar/second you end up paying for anymore(once you've got the gear), people just fire away on a rapid mode without much thoughts. Does this really amount to good photography in the end? 12years ago... I remember spending a good 30minutes looking for what I wanted before I released the shutter.

use? theoretically, you could use the long telephoto to nail the actual scene and synchronously the shorter telephoto to have a documentary overview of the scene.
