These jokers talk about realism, yet do not move realistically at all. This is what happens when nerds get into martial arts. They get the " Martial Art Geek Award."
Also, Idon't know of ANY ninjutsu instructors especially Stephen Hayes that would condon stealing money. To present that in a manner that implies that as part of the training is WAY out of line.
*facepalm* Watch his feet when the smaller one attacks. He isn't even in the 90 degree L shape which was supposed to be hammered into your head when you start out.

those techniques were seriously flawed. They shouldn't even be called a technique because that entails defending against an attack and then neutralizing the opponent. You only did the first half.
On the first one you move towards the attackers inside hand but then focus on the outside hand. You're just asking to be knocked out.
I disagree with the stealing money. it does not make you a ninja. I understand what they are tryingto convey but I think they are conveying it the wrong way and sending the wrong message to students.
this is training. you must start somewhere. whatch real fights you will see a lot of punches being thrown with the step through power. you train the body, then realism takes over and once it is ingrained into your muscle memory, the combat form comes to you through timing distancing and alignment.
I have trained with both these guys. The blonde hair guy is Dave Koss and the other is Darryl Caldwell. Both were top students of Stephen Hayes back in the early days of Ninjutsu being taught in the States by Hayes in Dayton OHIO. They broke off from Hayes and started their own group in Spokane,Washington. Brings back a lot of memories
wow me2, i wonder what happened 2 everyone? i 1st met dave and the household when i helped sponser a wind warrior seminar. i even considered moving 2 spokane. fond memories indeed.

You speak about realism, yet your first punch is completely unrealistic! NO one throws a rear reverse punch and steps through with it.

Wow this is a OLD VID.. Lol
The shuto is not from karate, its from Gyokko Ryu and its called Kiten Ken, a lil different but the same for the most part.
The way he is striking is very 80's but brings me back..
He isn't the nunchaku guy either haha But I think he was in some of Steven Hayes old Ninpo books as a uke.
Torashin 3 years ago
yeag right and while you are hitting his hand his going to slam your face with other hand ...
