Summer Apple Tree Pruning

question: what about growing in Florida? I have a southern variety of apple, its may and the two year tree has already flowered, grew tiny apples, then proceeded to drop the entire crop. i dont expect anything until next year though. I just dont want that to happen again. Its a challenge growing them in this heat, but at least the tree stays green in the winter (which is like a week down here).
