MrQwerghuiop, I beleive you can count yourself very lucky if you haven't been a victim of violent crime yet. But I also beleive that the Western Cape IS the best & safest place to be (and the most beautiful).

Furthermore they have an effective, non-corrupt provincial government that is focused on service-delivery (unlike the other 8 provinces).

This must be why South Africans who are not up to emigrating regard the Western Cape as the next best option when fleeing violent crime..

so you have not investigate the investment SA is making in security all round? By the time of kick-off there will be more security and police in the country than ever before. Making a statement like that is a bit "general" and you should know the country is making huge progress and definitely will invest big money to ensure the safety of fans and players, but more importantly, the infrastructure will still be there after the games. The world cup helps SA as a whole!
