@TheJamesTopham Actually, what I've seen in organic chemistry text is trans-1,2-dimethylcyclobutane, which has two enantiomers. You might want to ask your instructor what s/he prefers you to write in this situation. Otherwise, I like how you wrote it because it is very specific. Thanks!
when you name it, should it be *trans*-(1R,2R)-1,2-dimethylcyclobutane?
