Man you have balls. I thought I was the only one who began as a Gundam Wing-obssessed kid into a devoted anarchist as an adult. I found this video by searching 'gundam wing speech' looking for the original clip.
@VyseLegend Lol, I love the show. I watch it at least once every year. I also wrote a very lengthy review of it from a libertarian perspective on my tumblr.
I want to be a loser so bad, but I'm still getting fed this statist garbage in school and have no way to form an opinion because it's like fast food after hard work; it's quick and easy. I guess I'm lucky enough to have red flags go up in class that notify me when normal history turns into garbage. I haven't converted to anarchism yet, but I'm getting there.
The state has and is already an embarrassment to future generations, but instead we're just taught to think of it as freedom run-a-muck.
With respect to tradition: We are part of, and helping to continue, a tradition of our own. A grassroots tradition that emerges not because of the state, but in spite of it. I suspect our true position then is rather strong. Very good quote and nice video.
btw, i was looking up that ghandi quote i just left....and i went to google and BAM...there's ghandi as the google graphic. i almost lost it. i guess anomalies like that are bound to happen on the net.
if you side with certain ideals b/c they are predominant in the times....b/c it's easy to do so, and easy to bash those who dissent, then you are a weak minded coward. you are putty in the hands of the oppressors.
it is the bold innovators, the pioneers, the free thinkers, who shape the future. as always, they are demonized.
"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win."
hold strong, liberty lovers, a new dawn approaches.
Because of the ease of access to information, like through the Internet, the fall of religion is coming soon, the fall of the State follows right behind it.
It was an interesting speech, I think it hints at an important point. It goes without saying that if I support liberty but no one else does, then I will lose. But even those who support slavery and win are still losers. I would rather lose on both counts if it meant being a martyr to the cause of liberty than a victim of my own ignorance. It seems like a verbose way of saying "live free or die". The Japanese really need to learn to be more concise.
As for the speech, I haven't watched Gundam Wing, so I'm not familiar with the character's history, but his changing views (sort of) seem to mirror my own. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
Sorry if I can't reply to some comments. Youtube is a FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT and can't keep the comments board stable, some are just disappearing for no reason, yet they are still here supposedly.
I hope you dudes won't just name a video, I want to hear your impressions of the speech as well.
I've favorited like 7 or 8 of your videos in the past, so it's hard to decide which one was my personal favorite, lol. Btw, 3 of those favorited vids were the 3 parter on Inflation and the fall of the Roman Empire.
I think my favorite video of yours that I favorited was your Law vs. Legislation vid. That video proves how wise you are when it comes to politics.
Thanks. Law vs. Legislation was a fun one to make. Inflation and Rome I can't take credit for, I was merely reading someone elses' work that I thought was important, perhaps spicing it up a bit with imagery and voice acting. =]
Anyone remember the exact episode?

@voidofambition I think it's around episode 24-26.
A partner channel uploaded the entire series on YT so you can take a look for yourself in the play list.

This is my favorite video of yours. Even though I am not a fan anime, I enjoy peoples interpretation/ philosophy of the ideas discussed in any media.

Thanks. It's a good show, I'm not an anime fan either, but GW is an exception.

The first abolitionists were losers, but eventually those who championed slavery lost their power, and new winners were born.
The same goes for the thinkers of the Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution.
I am content with being a loser. I know the company I keep.

The New Channels Suck!
and the laws and legislation videos.
as for the quote i bleive this is what he meant: he wants to be a loser in order to be a winner or become a loser in order to chose a new leader.

Ah, Gundam Wing. One of my favorite series. Treize was a complete badass, along with his mobile suit Epyon.
ZamatoElite 2 years ago
Treize and Zechs were the best. And Epyon was a badass Gundam, so was Wing Zero. No coincidence they were the most powerful suits.
