Actually 3 of the 4 Beatles were Spanish. They had dark hair and typically latin features. The odd one out was Lennon and in order to fit in wrote "Spaniard in the works" and went to Spain to film "How I won the war". Alas the hot weather and Squiddly Paella didn't agree with him so he returned to damp old england. He also made an attempt to sing in Spanish in the song "Sun King" but was a terrible failure. The other 3 just laughed at him.
@546046 I have it on good authority that this was the case.......sometimes u have to "read" between the lines... and listen to a few of their backward messages.......it's all there man!!!!
Kool. Txz for the info. I know the Celts inhabited Spain too before any ever went to Ireland, that then some returned to Iberia during an ice age, only to have some migrate back north after things had warmed.
Mccartney does look very Latin at times.Paul's ancestors must be "black-Irish", a mix of Spaniards and Irish girls that occurred when shipwrecked survivors of the Spanish-Armada -Counter-Reformation naval invasion against the British went awry in 1588. Much of the huge fleet of Spanish ships had to head for or just made it to fellow Catholic Ireland where they were given cover and refuge by the Irish and ultimately assimilated into the Irish population.
@Vannman99 You are correct, but for the wrong reason. A lot of Britons (not just among the Irish) and French look like Spaniards, but it has nothing to do with any Armada from the 16th century. It has to do with the ancient pre-Indo-European tribes (Iberians, Ligurians, Etruscans, etc.) who inhabited much of Western Europe, all the way up to Scotland, before the arrival of the Indo-European tribes. That's why many people in Spain, France and the British Isles look peculiarly similar.
@Vannman99 See my Grandmother on my Dad's side has always been telling us that we are "Black-Irish" or "Dark Irish" I thought it meant German-Irish... hmmm, live in learn. I can tell you one thing my pubic bush is "Dark-Irish"
Can't a guy joke around without people always wanting him to be serious?
