A full sized pointed rifle bullet keeps its power and accuracy at a much greater range.

@HavocProductions1943 The deer is bigger than a human, plus there's the video I always show people, "Weaponology: French Foriegn Legion Part 4" It has a great demonstration of balistics clay, representing the density of a human torso, and the huge damage the Carbine does, it is way more damaging than the 30-06 bullet.
I've done that test myself, on ballistics gel and clay, and on deer, and wild pigs, and at the intended range (0-50 yards), the Carbine kills in a single body hit.

It doesn't repeat becauese you have no blank adapter. Usually with regular bullets the slug traps the expanding gasses behind it and thus forcing the gas to move into any open area; the recoil system that reloads the weapon. However with blanks there is no slug and thus the gasses escape out the barrel without reloading the weapon. A blank adapter adds a sort of funnel on the barrel that is smaller than the barrel's bore size and traps the gases long enough to force them into the reload system.

It doesn't matter if you have the M1A1 carbine w/ folding stock or one without a folding stock, maybe the paratrooper got it off a dead Glider soldier or he could of prefered having the gun without the folding stock.
@airborne1940 If you were trying to be 100% accurate with an impression, you would get an M1A1, but they're harder to come by than the M1 version, so it doesn't really matter.
it may still be correct for paratroopers to carry the standard M1 carbine, lots of weapons were swapped between the paras and glider infantry after the jump in D-Day
the reason may be that the carbine the gas chamber isnt working properly not pushing the op rod far back anuth or may even be the blankes you are using , could even try a higher grain of powder in the blanks

Paratroopers didn't use the fixed wooden butt plate, they all used the M1a1 folding stock version so they could put them in their leg bags or somewhere else easy to fold up into when they jumped.
The M1a1 was specially made for the paratroopers, any paratrooper who was equipped with an M1 Carbine had the folding stock varient.
In EVERY WW2 movie, film (WW2 era), & original photo's of or about American paratroopers, I've never ONCE seen a paratrooper with a M1 Carbine with wooden butt stock.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about on this subject.
clearly not too much, airborne divisions not in the ETO had solid stock carbines, and there is photographic evidence of regular infantry men just after Dday with folding stock versions. They used whatever they got, and the only reason paratroopers used the M1a1 was so they could jump with them, and they were lighter. Once on the ground, it wouldnt have mattered at all
Unfortunately, folding stock carbines are a bit expensive these days; atleast the last time a saw a price they were. I can't afford to spend $1,200 on a gun I could otherwise get for about $400.
The Carbine was given to those troops who were on heavy weapons(1919 .30 Cal, Bazooka, Mortar, etc.) not by rank. Many every trooper would prefer the Garand over the Carbine due to the lack of stopping power of the Carbine, none the less many toopers picked the Carbine over the Garand because of it's light weight and size and the ability to be carried easily.

till today this remains a myth, one that is just not true. The garand does make a ping sound when the clip is empty, but it is extremely hard to hear over the noise of the rifle going off. Besides that, nobody would be stupid enough to charge one man who was reloading while he probably had a squad of guys with him who were not reloading. On top of all this, the reload time is probably 3 seconds, not exatly a lot of time to charge and dissarm an enemy.
get someone to make you a blank firing adapter that will fit in the barrel, that way it will work properly, or fill the barrel and drill a hole in the top of the barrel
mine was used by my great uncle in the war, so I did not and will not change it to folding stock or tap the barrel, so instead I have an external bfa, which cost $9 and allows me to take it off easily and shoot live rounds
the Garands are all blank firing, we also have a bazooka we shoot smoke rounds out of and a blank and live firing 1919A4 .30 Cal. Machine Gun, and one 1928 Thompson, and one 1903 Springfield 1903 plus about another 6 or 7 Carbines

Paratroopers didn't use the fixed wooden butt plate, they all used the M1a1 folding stock version so they could put them in their leg bags or somewhere else easy to fold up into when they jumped.

No they didn't.
The M1a1 was specially made for the paratroopers, any paratrooper who was equipped with an M1 Carbine had the folding stock varient.
In EVERY WW2 movie, film (WW2 era), & original photo's of or about American paratroopers, I've never ONCE seen a paratrooper with a M1 Carbine with wooden butt stock.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about on this subject.

82nd airborne had the fixed butt varient, they also had 1928 and 1921 model thompsons, the 101st AB also had M1 Carbines

I know the 82nd had non M1a1 Thompsons, so did the Marines in the early part of the war.
EVERY Army division had soldiers equipped with M1 Carbines.

clearly not too much, airborne divisions not in the ETO had solid stock carbines, and there is photographic evidence of regular infantry men just after Dday with folding stock versions. They used whatever they got, and the only reason paratroopers used the M1a1 was so they could jump with them, and they were lighter. Once on the ground, it wouldnt have mattered at all

Unfortunately, folding stock carbines are a bit expensive these days; atleast the last time a saw a price they were. I can't afford to spend $1,200 on a gun I could otherwise get for about $400.

The Carbine was given to those troops who were on heavy weapons(1919 .30 Cal, Bazooka, Mortar, etc.) not by rank. Many every trooper would prefer the Garand over the Carbine due to the lack of stopping power of the Carbine, none the less many toopers picked the Carbine over the Garand because of it's light weight and size and the ability to be carried easily.

till today this remains a myth, one that is just not true. The garand does make a ping sound when the clip is empty, but it is extremely hard to hear over the noise of the rifle going off. Besides that, nobody would be stupid enough to charge one man who was reloading while he probably had a squad of guys with him who were not reloading. On top of all this, the reload time is probably 3 seconds, not exatly a lot of time to charge and dissarm an enemy.

mine was used by my great uncle in the war, so I did not and will not change it to folding stock or tap the barrel, so instead I have an external bfa, which cost $9 and allows me to take it off easily and shoot live rounds
the Garands are all blank firing, we also have a bazooka we shoot smoke rounds out of and a blank and live firing 1919A4 .30 Cal. Machine Gun, and one 1928 Thompson, and one 1903 Springfield 1903 plus about another 6 or 7 Carbines
