Great job helidude. Your vids are very helpful. Now I understand, whereas before i hadnt been able to find an explanation such as this! Im getting ready for my transition into CP from FP. Im pretty comfy with my 120sr and mSR, and have been doing alot of research on the SR. Ive read several bashing reviews, and good reviews on the SR. I am drawn to it for some reason! Thanks for the time and effort! Your vids are benefiting alot of us getting into the hobby!
Great stunt mode videos. I haven't done flips or loops or rolls yet. I'm very confident that I'm ready to try, but just wondering what trick is the easiest to learn? What was your first stunt mode trick?
@longfield07834 - My first was the forward loop, but a lot of guy like to start with a roll. If you keep the tail towards you and do a roll it's probably the quickest to get down.
thanks bro your the only one giving a real explanatory vid on idle up mod now i just need to lern to use it and from this vid im guessing you can fly one of these helis like a 4 channel until you use idle up then its using the 6 channels
I got one of these today and tried to charge it but I got the error lights flashing. I tried to figure out wat wrong but still said same, any suggestions?
@screamindemon1231749 I had the same thing happen to me when I bought mine. I had to take the battery to the Hobby Shop and they found that one of the cells was way too far down. They gave it a quick charge and brought that cell up and it works now, but the battery life isn't that great. I ended up buying a second battery.
Am I correct is saying that in IDLE DOWN mode the heli acts like an MSR with the ability to control the full range of throttle with the stick from 0-100% with a set pitch???... ie: full down stick=0 and full up=100% throttle??? Or am I misunderstanding??? I know when you switch to IDLE UP your throttle goes high and the stick controls the pitch (cause I just watched this video) ... thanks.
@warmidgets - Somewhat but not exactly. Even in normal mode your heli will wind up to a certain rpm at around mid-stick and should generally hold that rpm. From there it's mostly all pitch changes that control lift. i.e. The blades change pitch in normal mode too. You just won't get negative pitch.
@mrrocks3578 - Sorry. I could if I had a DX7, but the process is very similar to that of the DX6i. Do a search. I believe there are some other videos on the issue. If it's for the DX6i you should be able to easily translate that to the DX7.
Thanks for the guide. It was very informative. I just finished watching all the parts today. I'm getting my Blade SR today, I'm just waiting on UPS to get here. :) I just bought a MCX recently and thought it was about time to go a step up.
@hhmote - I think so yes. She's pretty easy and quick to learn to fly ... plus you have the plane experience. A heli really does fly very similar to a plane at least in forward flight.
@birdmanbl - I'd suggest keeping it at it's lowest setting at first, the knob all the way to the left - If you're new to idle up, spool up the heli to about 1/3rd stick in normal mode on the ground (just under mid-stick) then flip to idle up. Practice hovering this way a bit to get use to the new stick positioning. Take care not to "chop" the throttle (full down stick) if you should get into trouble as it will pile-drive your heli into the ground.
@catfishmudflap - Thanks for your feedback and comment. Always nice to know that people are getting something valuable out of the videos. Happy flying!
Great vid!!! I just wanted to say that myself I am a rookie, but I found that even if you never plan on going 3d (I know at this point that it does not interest me, cause I want to go scale) that idle up (stunt) mode also helps big time when its windy, helps the heli stay stable.
I hope you didnt already mention this, if so im sorry.
But GREAT info and very well explained for people just entering the hobby!! Keep the vids commin!!!!!
@bittersweetdefeat - I've mentioned it in other places but it doesn't hurt for someone else to say it too. Yes idle up mode definitely help keep the heli more stable, especially keeping that tail straight which is, as I always say, half the battle of flying helis, as all other orientations/movements and input depend on where the tail is. Thanks for your feedback and comment. Happy flying!

your rtex600 looks to move eqaully +/- pitch. it looked like the blade sr didn't...is that true?
taurustbolt 1 year ago
@taurustbolt - With its stock transmitter and setup the SR doesn't have as much negative pitch.
