@goalsave1 i love the car, its great, and for what it is its a very good chassis-- but compared to the advances made in later generations, its not nearly as rigid. a friend of mine has an r32 and its not a whole lot more stiff than a S13 chassis which he had before it. my LS400 '91 is more rigid (but a lot more weight). im guessing you havent been driven a 32 or at least rode in one much.
for 80 grand, anyone with some money sense and some sacrifice can afford one. Sure if I had 200 grand to drop on a car, I would choise different, but the GT-R, with a bucket load of future options from Japan (thats where I am from so. . .) will means you can use it to build anything you want. You buy a 911 for 120 grand (still do-able) then you really don't want to touch it. its already perfect.

Heh, I did the opposite. I actually bought a GT-R over the M3. I have driven both and I can assure you that the GT-R doesn't drive or handle anything like an Altima at all. It rides harshly and it's very noisy.
The only reason that I'd ever buy an M3 over the GT-R is that the M3 a better car to live with, it's cheaper to maintain and it's available in four-door and also with manual transmission.
But if you want a serious performer, the GT-R is simply in a different league.

GT-R destroyed the Porsche track times so they must be doing something right. Yes the ZR1 would beat this car in a straight line but this car wasn't designed to win straight line races. It was designed to win real races with actual turns and corners. That's why Nissan put so much money into all the rest of the car and of course heehaw GM put all their dollars in the engine as per usual. ZR1 is an impressive car but it's technology isn't even comparable to the GT-R.
have you ever head of this trck, its 13 miles lond and has wall over a hundred corners. its where the best go to test out thier cars handling. its called the nurbugring and the zr1 beat the gtrs time around it. the zr1 has an alluminum frame, a rear mounted transmission for a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. the vette is faster to 60 and has a higher top speed. it pulls tons of g on the skidpad, more than the datsun. no, it doesnt have wheels full of nitrogen, but neither does a f1 car

well summed up nicely, but there are certain cars that are niched to a level of hardcoreness where only proper enthusiasts would get one. Classic case in point is the 911 gt3 or better yet the rs. That car is simply too hardcore for the rich idiot with flappies behind his steering wheel to manage or put up with. But in general I agree. But this is where the major difference between the gt-r and the vette is. One can embarass you...badly the other will flatter you no matter what.

I like the graphics at the start but the review was basic and boring as I said before but I'm just commenting for FLD love.

it will beat a base model or Z06... for 20 grand more though it better... ZR1 will beat it if driven well enough.

actually I don't see the word almost in your above comments... besides the point though, it is BS how little extra performance you get for that price... although the C6 vette's are definitely one of the best bang for your buck cars out there.
and also, the whole sports car world doesnt run on 1/4 miles... just a small segment of it.

almost is up there, keep looking, and i dont know what you are talking about on the other, corvette zr1 makes lap times much faster than a gt-r, not barely for a 20 grand difference, z06 almost matches if not can't beat a gt-r driven properly, and again, your comments lack subjects and make no sense

hahaha. That made my day. Corvette owners know how to drive? Oh god at least camaro guys know to not go in too fast because their car is too horrible around turns. Corvettes on the other hand are quite good at cornering, and their owners think they are the end all car. Which it really isn't. With the exception to the 10% of the owners rest can't drive for s***t

well summed up nicely, but there are certain cars that are niched to a level of hardcoreness where only proper enthusiasts would get one. Classic case in point is the 911 gt3 or better yet the rs. That car is simply too hardcore for the rich idiot with flappies behind his steering wheel to manage or put up with. But in general I agree. But this is where the major difference between the gt-r and the vette is. One can embarass you...badly the other will flatter you no matter what.
