  • Why the hell would anyone want to take a cruise with the population of a small city?

  • This ship looks like a large sheep transporter going to the middle east IE it looks like crap,

  • if it sinks they'll just ake another movie about and try to make it extremely drammatic only to soon forget that they will forget about it.

  • My heaaaart will go oooooon wheaaaannnnn....

  • i want o see this ship inside pacific with force 12 storm

  • stadium*

  • Oasis of the seas can only carry 6,300 passengers? That shit looks like half the size of a football field!

  • Now think about the fact that this shit only costs 50 % more than a single B2 bomber.

  • Like For The Little Speed Boat!

  • What a piece of crap

  • schettino, JUST DONT!

  • impresive ;]

  • Does it do rocks and have a chickenshit captian, opps tooser in charge(just wondering)

  • nice ship! i wonder how many heads can it save when it sinks.. maybe 5% .___. look at the life boats... life jackets cant save you from raging waves

  • At Some point they will make one so big it wont sink --- because the sea will be too shallow

  • RMS Titanic fuck that this is the SS GIGANTIC!!!!!!!!!

  • How ugly is that!

  • а бордель там есть?

  • Why is there a skyscraper on that boat?

  • i really wanna use that ship for target practice!!!

  • Modern ships are pig ugly!

Where is all the style and finesse of the old four stackers?

A modern ship that was low in the water and had four funnels would be beautiful imo.

  • It's big, but it looks really ugly.

  • @MissONTM Yes! Not as the great liners like the SS Normandie or RMS Queen Mary from the glory days.

  • Humans will never learn....

  • Awful !!!

  • That boat's so big it's ugly.

  • Hope it's more stable than the Concordia. Doesn't look it, though I'm not a nautical engineer.

  • @MrCutsteel let me tell you this. That ship is top heavy, im talking ton's above its mid weight. it will be designed to cruise calmer channels etc etc but these ships always seem to get caught out sooner or later and one massive hit ( ATLANTIC FORCE 12+ ) to either side will knock that straight over. i actually wonder how the frame would cope with it pivoting on its center manifold over a wave. I'D SAY FUCKED.

  • @RapidFoxProductions p.s in the wrong hands (or a drunk captain ) you could sink it easely using the stern in a dipped ( atlantic 10 + ) wave

  • @RapidFoxProductions: I believe you. As I say, I'm no nautical engineer but to me it looks like a matter of simple physics.

  • @MrCutsteel i think we should all stick to fishing boats in lakes ;)

  • Thats not a ship thats a floating city...

  • This is what we are sacrificing our kid's future for - an ugly, poluting floating hotel for a load of obese baby boomers to travel in comfort to experience the ocean they are helping to destroy.

  • Che cesso di nave

  • OMG. That's... ugly !

  • HOPE IT SINKS.. oops

  • @Sunmayful why would you say that ? you prick

  • is this shit real?

  • @Qw3rty99 titanic much smaller?..20m difference..and the hole dimension was smaller on the contrary..you taught what??..i wonder if you are just ignorant or simply stupid..

  • Big, loaded with perks.. but looking at this ship, I see nothing attractive about her at all.. its an over-kill.

  • mecarazy you are such a rude person

  • How to sink a ship in seconds?

Just put an Italian captain on it...

  • @xSwiftstar Or let a woman drive it,,,

  • @SG55OVCam I wonder what it corners like?.

  • @bmwnasher Like a whale on roller skates!!

  • @SG55OVCam This is like a mobile block of flats.

  • Top heavy I suspect

I would not travel on that

  • @drigin1234

    You're so fucking stupid.

  • I want to shoot a missile at it, without people on board of corse.

  • I would so LOVE to go on this.

  • This "Ship" is just i giant polluter, we are the ONLY species on Earth that live life to enjoy, while the so called "wild" animals fight each other against life and death. Just because we are the most evolved species that we know of doesn't mean we have to live life so selfishly. It sickens me to see someone to hunt for enjoyment or money. if i killed an animal i would not waste a single shred of it like some of the people in this world do. Live and survive in the wild, it will change your life

  • You have to be a certain type of person to like cruises and unable to plan your own holiday. I am not that person. You are trapped in a large hotel with small rooms, hordes of children, queues for everything, sub-standard entertainment, huge amounts of very average food, boring people who find this nonsense entertaining (or, if you don't find them boring, you are boring also) and be possessed of a mind-boggling herd mentality. Yes, I have been on a cruise. Never again.

  • Don't go on a cruise.. imagine how much garbage and sewage comes from this monstrosity. Cruise ships and freighters break laws and dump all that crap in the oceans. Oceans are suffering because of these dirty polluters.

  • this ship was built is busan south korea.South Korea is the world's largest shipbuilding nation with a global market share of 53.2% in 2011.[13] South Korea is the global leader in the production of advanced high-tech vessels such as cruise liners, super tankers, LNG carriers, drill ships, and large-sized container ships. In the 3rd quarter of 2011, South Korea won all 18 orders for LNG carriers, 3 out of 5 drill ships and 5 out of 7 large-sized container ships.

  • @jasonmumato

You're talking out of your ass.

The Oasis of the Seas was built in FINLAND, the STX Europe shipyard in Turku to be more exact.

Heck EVEN in this video it says it sailed from Finland.

South Korea does indeed build a lot of cargo ships, but this cruise ship was built in Finland (which is in Europe) whether or not you realize that or not.

Google it. Use Wikipedia or look at the company site.

    Finland, Finland, Finland.

    Get it??

  • @McLarenMercedes stx europe is owned by south korea it was sold out, reason it was built in finland was because of there large ship yard size capability, enginners who worked on this ship and its desighn were korean, read wikipedia.south korea has the most advanced built ships in the world THE END

  • @jasonmumato yeah? But thank zeus that koreans didn't build it...glad that Finns, because if you've driven Kia or Daewoo/EuroChevrolet you know what I mean...:D Like Kinder suprise toys...xDD

  • @Friss99 hyundai and kia are great cars and yes alot of engineers were korean building this ship i watched a documentary, they do own stx europe as it was sold out

  • @Friss99 yes agree daewoo is rubbish but the americans cant build good cars either

  • @jasonmumato They used to be, but hyndai and kia is more than rubbish. They...suck. And what goes to Korean engineers...well I've been working on STX Turku..and what I saw, that Koreans try to take all the credit from Oasis and Allure..Yes, koreans own the dock, but it was Finish engineers that build those ships...there were few koreans in the docs when Oasis were build, but mainly finnish engineers...

  • @Friss99 South Korea is the world's largest shipbuilding nation with a global market share of 53.2% in 2011.[13] South Korea is the global leader in the production of advanced high-tech vessels such as cruise liners, super tankers, LNG carriers, drill ships, and large-sized container ships. In the 3rd quarter of 2011, South Korea won all 18 orders for LNG carriers, 3 out of 5 drill ships and 5 out of 7 large-sized container ships

  • @McLarenMercedes Lol....Finland sucks...Everyone else know that 90% of Finns are fucking sheeps and do what ever the gov. says and think they are democratic and free people...:DD hahahaha Platon would turn in the grave if he saws Finland's "democracy"

  • Its a good plan for islamistes!

  • Yessssss Costa Romantica, Costa Europa?

  • It's the new Titanic.

  • @PrinceChaloner dont say dat

  • @PrinceChaloner

    Titanic, Titanic, Titanic, Titanic

WHEN are you fools going to realize that a ship that just was the largest in 1912 didn't held the record until now??

Guess what, had it not sunk it would have held the record for ONE year. The German ocean liner, the SS Imperator launched in 1913 was larger than Titanic. Look it up on Google or Wikipedia or wherever you want.

In the 1930's the Queen Mary, Normandie and Queen Elizabeth were already twice as large as the T.

  • anybody elese think it was gonna be hit by that boat and sick at 0:45??

  • More like mass grave of 6300. NO THANKS.

  • Grotesque

  • But the question is... Will it blend?

  • I've been on that ship!!!

  • It just looks ridiculous, there are spectacular huge liners like the QMII and then there are just floating tower blocks.......

  • That's a block of flats?

  • How do they manage to maintain rigidity of the ship when going so big, ...damn!

  • @enjoybot they design them to flex I would imagine...

  • Fuck Ice Bergs!

  • one wave and that thing will tip over

  • @weeguymo i think that thing will tip the wave over.. O_O

  • @killerlad9 lol

  • Long live the old liners! Those new ships are just ugly!

  • It's ugly

  • The cruise ship companies are really going to lose allot of money on this investment in the end.An agent I knowsaid that they are very hard to book and public resistence is high, she sells allot of cruises even in this economy.

  • I go on cruises to get away from a crowd not sail in a large town.I would not go if it were buy one get two free,I can stay home and ice skate, rock climb and go to the mall for 1/10th the price. They can keep it and I cruise twice a year!

  • @nunubyou Royal Caribbean does a very good job with crowds. You never feel crowded, I've sailed on Oasis of the Seas. Its all to scale, larger ship, that many more people.

  • Thanks, but I will stick to two weeks in Fethiye

  • thumps up for the small boat at 0:48

  • You wouldn't catch me on one of these things.

  • big ugly Pc of shit. Sink it.

  • i hope it will not meet iranian submarine torpedo attack :-)

  • @ dongoggine IKR if he was on there we would crash it then leave everyone for dead!

  • sometimes, I hate cruises cuz it's not fair that they can float, and I CANT EVEN FLOAT!!!!

  • perhaps another new Costa Concordia..

  • you don't want Francesco Schettino to be the captain of that ship

  • imagine all tht pussy on tht ship.

  • Floating death trap

  • that shit is so tall the first "big" wave to hit it its gonna fall over...

  • I guess she is joking the lenght of the ship is only 200 feet ???

    I think she was dreaming....

  • I've seen it it's fucking huge, bigger than the hills next to the harbour in St.Maarten

  • Thanks to the Costa Concordia we all know how stable these floating hotels (refuse to call them liners or ships) are when flooding.

  • @Qw3rty99 RMS Queen Mary 2 is the only ship I have any interest in traveling on....a REAL ocean liner.

  • @Qw3rty99 Sick, but I liked it haha

  • @Qw3rty99 yes the Costa Concordia sank sideways. do you want the boat to sink in a perfectly level fashion? the only way to keep something stable while it's sinking is to ensure that it is taking on water on all sides at an equal rate, which will only speed up the sinking process. When there isn't a large hole in the side of the boat these things are perfectly stable. Don't spread paranoia.

  • @InFlameProductions Titanic: much smaller, twice the length of hole, sank on an even keel in about 3 hours. Concordia: one of the largest ships, half the length of hole, sank in about an hour while listing so far only half the lifeboats could be used. Which sounds safer to you?

BTW I taught damage control and stability for years in the US Navy, think I know what I'm talking about.

  • @Qw3rty99 And the Costa Concordia isn't one of the largest ships. lets go down in order... Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, NCL Epic, (many more ships) oh and 129 ft (about 13 large stories) later is the Costa Concordia.

  • @Qw3rty99

    SS Great Eastern. 1859.

The first giant ocean liner (6 times larger than any other ship ever made at that time).

    Had a double hull.

Struck an underwater rock which tore a hole much larger than what sunk the Titanic. The damage to the Great Eastern wasn't discovered until they arrived in the harbor.

So which was safer, the SS Great Eastern of 1859 or Titanic in 1912?

I must also say that your comparison is utterly ridiculous, so I provided you with a more accurate comp.

  • @InFlameProductions Thank you, for apparently being one of the few sane people left in the world.

  • @Qw3rty99 They are meant to stay afloat under extreme conditions. The captain of the Costa Concordia cause her to sink you dumbass. Get in a fucking car and drive down a driveway. Your more likely to get killed there then on a ship. People like you make our world full of drama. Apparently your "control and stability" teachings aren't worth shit. A Ship is a ship or a liner. Do you call your cell phone a pager? No, then don't call a ship a floating hotel.

  • @ViewersChoiceTGT So sinking in an hour is staying afloat under extreme conditions? You realize that if she sank only 200 feet further out the water is 1,000 feet deep, she would have completely capsized with 4,000 people on board, right? We got lucky this time.

Yes cruises are safe 90% of the time, and so is driving, but you wouldn't drive a car without ABS, airbags, etc.

    Educate yourself: maritimewatch.eu\articles\603.pdf

  • @Qw3rty99 you freaked realize the reason she sank was because of where she was? The captain caused that ship to sink by first being way off course, second making mistakes about what to be done, 3rd not ordering for evacuation as soon as it happened, and 4th, he left before he should have. So fuck off ships are way safer then half the bs people do all day long. You can tell me you don't want to cruise, but you can't say they aren't safe asshole.

  • @ViewersChoiceTGT Look, if you have an opinion, fair enough. You've cruised before, so have I, so have a lot of people. Your arguments come from experience, but do you have to use such rotten, insulting and aggressive language and grammar? Have you ever tried anger management?

  • @shrivel1 I can't stand people saying something completely false, otherwise I'm a pretty friendly person.

  • @Qw3rty99 It's fine if you don't hit a damn rock!

  • @Qw3rty99 depends on the ability of the staff

  • @Qw3rty99 any vessel with a huge gash in the side is going to sink eventually.....duh. Not to mention Royal Caribbean would NEVER make such a stupid mistake!!!

  • @CHEFGREG1978 My wife and I have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises, the latest ending in December, 2011. RC may not be as disorganized as Costa, but we have seen a steady decline in quality and standards at Royal Caribbean in the past few years. The ships keep getting bigger, but the cruise experience is getting progressively worse. We've had our fill of Royal Caribbean.

  • @Qw3rty99 It depends on the people who control them.

  • @Qw3rty99 Yup. These things are disasters waiting to happen.

  • @geonerd not to mention it's the ugliest ship ever.. giant shopping mall and hotel..and looks like a major polluter of the ocean. Cruise ship operators should be jailed for the pollution they dump in the oceans.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 You got a point. The center 2/3 looks like an East German apartment complex, and the stern and bow are nothing at all special.

  • are we going to have a movie about this in 20 years called the titanic 2...i thought we already had this discussion

  • ok it the "oasis of seas" thank you.

  • love when the little tiny actual size speed boat goes by at the end!

  • Dont let Francesco Schettino captain it.

  • i think this is ships name is "grand prince"?

  • @manushamil Its name is "Oasis of the Seas".

  • Sort of on the ugly side, but what the heck.

  • they didn't learn a damn thing from the titanic did they?

well I'm not a bleeding heart, it goes down its there own fault. 6300 ppl will be trying to get in what 40 lifeboats?

Everybody knows 1/2 to 3/4 of the people will never make it to them..

  • @Me102288 Lifepods are huge, and there is many more than that.

  • @sw201444 lol boy you awefull nieve if you dont think the mass panic would actually leed to everyone getting to a lifeboat from 8 story's up...

Ever seen assisted chaos? 60% will get trampled on, pushed outta the way, while others fight to get down to them.. What happened with the titanic? it listed fast enough that some of the lifeboats couldn't be used..

never heard the term "trhe bigger they are the harder they fall" ??

  • @Me102288 learn english, and i was explaining to him that there's more lifeboats. now shut the fuck up

  • @Me102288 The Oasis carries 18 lifeboats that hold 370 people each, for a total of 6,660 people. Its required by law to carry more space on the life boats then the boat can carry. It also carries dozens of inflatable life rafts provide space for anouther 6 to 800 people.

The Titanic is the one that had less boats then people, but that was a hundred years ago. Its also the reason they created the regulations.

  • @candr good, but what happens when it lists and half the lifeboats are useless.

like what happens to 75% of all huge top heavy ships...

  • @Me102288 Well you can come up with a hundreds of different things to worry about. The point is they have more then you thought, and under most situations it will be enough. Each time you think of something else you can add some more until the ship is mostly lifeboats, and then you have to worry about the lifeboats needing lifeboats. better yet what if it is hit by a metor. you can only do so much.

  • @candr it will be enough... famous last words.. "It will do" short for " Got no f'in clue"

noone knows how fast that ship will go down, hell look at the grieve the last one made.. it didn't even sink, it just listed over ..

  • @Me102288 True, but tell me, how many would you put on it, for that matter should we put parachutes for all the people on an airplane, 500 or 600. It will never be completely safe no matter how large or how small the craft will be, You do what you can do. You give folk the vest and you carry out drills and assign seats, but no matter what you do, some (not most) of the time it will not be enough. If someone questions the safety, perhaps they need to stay on land or in bed. Nothing is 100% safe.

  • @candr I agree..othat simple little device is how 10's of thousands of men got off the c47's in the war... Honestly the first thing most people do is in a situation like that is panick. I'm pretty sure that ship has miles of hallways through it.. Mass confusion dow small hallways and stairs 30? storys high?

I dont like it but its already known the chances of getting out of a 2 seat airplane crash alive is pretty good. 300 person Jumbo.. almost none, aka miricle sad

  • New Titanic ????

  • looks a lil top heavy?!!?

  • As the ships get bigger they get uglier. This one is truely hideous. The elegance of ships like the Queen Mary and the QE2 is long gone.

  • @sueharristication

    I agree...it's a monstrosity.....too bad it didn't hit a reef too.! (without losing lives)

  • @sueharristication

Or the Normandie. You won't ever find a more elegant looking ocean liner than that.

Sadly a careless welder in WW2 ended her.

  • What's chuck norrises bass boat doing here?

  • sooo ugly ship.never macth Quen elizabeth

  • where are the sails they're talking about? :-P

  • wooooooow

  • What happens if their is someone over board on a boat like this? Do they just leave them behind?

  • @NoodleBoy101 No, they would send out a rescue party to find and retrieve the person of course.

  • Death trap. Terrorist dream. Etc..

  • Titanic ?

  • my ship is a little smaller

  • Imagine that thing sinking?

  • @billyschorn wow that would become a tsunami...

  • reminds me of the titanic @ the beginning... people waving from shore and people waving on board :P

  • now i wonder...why the fuck wouldnt my cell phone float in water when i accidently dropped it in the ocean, and this 200,000 TON ship floats? screw you phycics.

  • can it sail through icebergs ? O.o

  • Total 220,000 tons. 50,000 tons of hull and 150,000 + tons of superstructure!

  • My mind is too small to imagine this shit sinking

  • Imagine if this ship sank with full people in it

  • good thing that the Costa Concordia wasn't that big...

  • Disturbing fact when you look at the consumption rate of this ship. Each of the 3 16 cylinder engines consume 1377 gallons of fuel per hour while each of the 3 12 cylinder engines suck 1033 gallons per hour. The total is 7230 gallons of gas an hr, or 27474 liters. A waste if you ask me. We could make use of this fuel for further space explorations. And not just this ship, countless others.

  • lol. isnt this the ship that tipped over today? it tipped over on the coast of italy.

  • @OHsnapzitzWIZ no its a different ship

  • I went on a cruise on that ship and it was amasing

  • The QM2 can be regarded as a cruise liner, not a full blown ocean liner. She does both, but I wonder what sort of ride she'd be in an atlantic swell. She still has alot above the water compared to what is below, even though it is less than a full cruising ship. Should of been built in Belfast anyway.

  • @CLVASHJBHWFS Watch the documentary on QM2. She's designed to handle the rough Atlantic.

  • @InDepthPerception Um. Documentries. I'd rather read the Naval Architect. She maybe designed with extra scantlings and different plate in areas, but with a 32'-33' draught for a ship that size, which still carriers much top hamper, and I guess because of the draught and that she cruises also, she has to be made very stable, which can lead to giving a very rough ride. There are no such ships as pure ocean liners anymore. At the moment, they are un-viable. QM2 is a cruise liner, not ocean liner.

  • So darn top heavy! The superstructure is twice as tall as the hull! Looks like it's ready to topple over! The QM II is not designed like that. Being the QM II is a true "Ocean Liner" as opposed to Oases Of The Seas which is just a "Cruise Ship", the QM II has less superstructure and more hull. The QM II's hull is also deeper, thicker hull plating and a finer entry at the bow, so it slices more smoothly through heavy seas!
